I have really long hair and I wore it in a bun for a long time and then a pony tail and now I can't get a brush through it at all. I'm pregnant, so it's difficult to try to deal with hair. I really don't want to cut it off, but I may have to if I can't get it untangled.

when you are in the shower you put conditioner in your hair then comb slowly from the bottom to the top and it should be easy. After you have taken it out of an up do you should spray leave-in conditioner or detangler and brush from bottom to the top.

I always comb my hair while I'm still the shower with the conditioner still in. Then I just make sure I don't tangle it!

Same thing happened to a female friend of mine. She couldn't use a brush because it would have certainly damaged her hair - yes, that's how bad her state was. Wet the hair and using and entire bottle (if needed) of conditioner finger comb through your long locks.

You should always allow the hair to flow naturally down the back; do not ever wad the hair on top of the head.

Shampoo only the crown (scalp) and finger comb the shampoo south to the ends.

Condition only the ends and finger comb north to the crown.

Only comb wet hair, only brush dry hair.

I have long thick hair and when pregnant, hormones cause hair to grow faster. I used a leave in conditioner and get a detangler like Johnson %26amp; Johnson and spray on damp hair and wide tooth comb from the bottom up. Blow dry the hair about half way through, not all the way or it will may dry and frizz. I usually leave my hair in a braid now just to keep it from damage of getting caught in things and when I had my son, he was always getting his fingers tangled in it too. Experiment, you'll find it won't be that bad to maintane. Good luck and congrats. :)
