How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

I use loreal hotstraight before i blow dry my hair when its dried I straighten it and brush it.

I then walk to school and my friend goes ur hair is messed up and i look in the mirror and its all curly at the ends my hair is naturally straightish but i like it dead straight!!

I Would like either some good idea's such as what shampoo/conditioner or straighterning cream or how to straightern it well or blow dry it well.

Thanks so much

Much luff xx

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

Let your hair dry on its own. Then use a ghd straightener.. (its fantastic) then use hairspray.. You might want to spray a heat protector cream on your hair before you straighten it to protect.

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

http://www.aveda.com use their hair straightening cream

also use a heat protection before straightening it.

also use their damage remedy conditioner (only use it once a week) but this will help a lot.

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

I have the same problem and i use frizz ease by john freda. have had no problems since!

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

Well, you could use a straighting iron but you could use shampoo. Like you can use an aveda hang hang straight stuff. Then brush it and blow dry it. Good Luck!

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

buy some styling gel and put it in your hair before you straighten it. Tony and guy have some good styling gels and so does schwarkopf (not sure how you spell it sorry)

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

If you have really curly hair (naturally), it'll be hard for the look to last all day. I suggest using a haircare line exclussively for making your hair straight...Loreal, Herbal Essences and Panteene all make these ones. You might also want to mist your hair with a finishing spray to keep your hair under control.

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

Umm, well use a straight shampoo-any that says for straight hair. Then, I use herbal essences straightening spray before i blodry and while i straighten-then i straighten my hair wiht a wet-2-straight on level 30 on blow-dried hair and it works well. Then, i use a leave-in conditioner so i wont get fly-aways or humidity.

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

try hairspray after you straighten it otherwise the hairspray takes effect before your hair is actually straight. and i have found that any john frieda products work wonders so try the frizz ones!!!!

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

I cannot recommend more the use of GHD hairstylers they are from my birthplace of Keighley in England and are exceptional most top stylists use and recommend them. go to www.ghdhair.com for tips and product information. I 100% RECOMMEND THESE. they are not available in the US to my knowledge, but shipping can be arranged

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

Try GHD straightners or do straightening perming they use the same chemicals but insted of curling they can straighten (some hairdressers do this but not all as it is not as popular).

When blow drying make sure you blow downwards as if blown up it will fizz or curl.

Good luck

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

I have kind of oily hair. So I wash it twice with Thermasilk shampoo (the volumizing kind, not the moisturizing kind), skip the conditioner and all products, and straighten it (I have a Conair, it's red and black and kind of curved so you can flip your hair if you want to, not sure what model it is or anything) while it's still wet. It stays straight really well. However, if you dye your hair (I don't), have dry hair (I don't), or something, I might not recommend it.

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

Conditioning twice a week is the key.

Also use heat protector gel or cream.

Anti frizz would help too.

Dont blow dry too often or u'll ruin ur hair.

Also let it dry naturally till almost dry. then blow dry keeping away from hair, not too near and not on too hot.

Use natural/herbal remedies like egg for conditioning or henna if u want.

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

you just have to always flat iron it. that should keep it straight.

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

it depends on how curly ur hair is really, mines very curly i use a little hair serum when its wet, blow dry it then i straighten it but my hair straighteners heat to 230 tho which is not good for your hair but it makes it really straight, even if its raining tho or my hair gets slightly damp it will curl so try and avoid it getting wet, nothing will stop it curling in the rain! 200 degrees straighteners should be enough for your hair.

Or try experimenting with putting ur hair up for when you know the weathers guna be miserable ok. i use avon shampoo conditioner straight and sleek.

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

boots do a straightening kit,, i used it and thought it was fantastic. i cant remember what it was called but it cost 鎷?5 and its in a pink box. it lasts for about 2-3 months and i thought it was worth every penny :)

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

i had the same problem until i got some new straightners from argos, they were 50 quid and go up to 230 degrees they kept my hair dead straight even when i went out in the wind to test them!!! i also used sunsilk straightenin cream and the loreal studioline straightenin cream both are brilliant

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

use a straightener

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

one answer:

GHD stylingh irons!

they are great i have had mine for a year and i use them everyday!

and i'll never look back!

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

If you have enough pocket money saved, get yourself some GHD straightning tongs 鎷?30 - Very expensive - but worth every penny, they straighten any type of hair without failure.

Unfortunatly the only way to keep your hair straight is not to get it wet - John frieda straigthening serum is excellent with the straightning tongs.

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

straightinat

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

I have tried many straighteners and i believe ghd's are the only ones which work! Ghd also do a really good straightening serum but it is quite expensive!

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

Invest in some ghd hair straighteners, I used to have the same problem as you and then bought some ghd's from http://www.salonlines.co.uk/hair-straigh... - they really do solve the problem, now my hair stays really straight all day.

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

I recommend using a salon brand shampoo that makes your hair nice and strong and soft such as TIGI Honey %26amp; Oatmeal or if your budget won't reach to that then something like Lee Stafford Poker Straight shampoo and conditioners (available in Boots) then roughly blow dry hair until it is about half dry, apply a protein spray or a heat protection spray and blow dry straight in sections using a round barrell brush. Then use GHD's to straighten the hair in small sections after you have dried it - if you use cheaper straighteners this might be where you problem is coming from. I have had the same issues in the past but since using GHD's my hair stays straight after styling - the only exception being if I get caught in the rain! After straightening apply an anti-frizz serum such as John Frieda Frizz-Eaze or Tommy Gunns serum (which is really nice and available at Boots) you can also spray a light mist of hairspray at this point to try and hold the style for longer.

How can i keep my hair REALLY straight.???

In my opinion straightening creams really dont work. I had a bunch of expensive ones and i chucked them all im the bin. Buy a decent pairof straighteners like GHDs or Babyliss Pro 230

Thick bushy hair!!!! help?

my hair is real thick and bushy i use straighteners i go three to four days ithout washing it but nothing helps a soon as a brush touches it it goes wild can someone please tell me how to make it lay down and look right i dont know what to do...

Thick bushy hair!!!! help?

For Emily --- No, it's not "nasty" that she goes that long without washing her hair. Obviously, her hair is not naturally very oily, which allows her hair to remain clean for longer periods of time than yours.

Thick bushy hair!!!! help?

Have you had it professionally thinned at a salon?

Thick bushy hair!!!! help?

hey ummmm, first of all... that is really nasty that u go 4 days without washing your hair. second of all, get a better straightener!

Thick bushy hair!!!! help?

Did you try like mousse or something??

I used to have that till i got a perm. It actually works. Mine stayed in for about 3 months till i said screw it. Wait my hair is naturally straight. I feel for you. Yeah, go with the perm.

Thick bushy hair!!!! help?

Clarifying shampoo, get all the gunk off. Washing your hair with this stuff calms it down a lot. Are you doing too much to your hair? That will stress it out. Proper diet and nutrition and a hairdresser that really understands your type of hair.

Thick bushy hair!!!! help?

Use a bunch of frizz control products! That always helps with my thick bushy hair!

HOPE THIS HELPED!!!!!!!!

Thick bushy hair!!!! help?

get a layered cut. search for pictures online. www.lhj.com has some good pics. wash it with a smoothing or moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. use leave-in conditioner. never use heat on your hair. use olive oil or coconut oil and run it through your hair once it's dry. to get rid of frizz, use frizz serum. while you are waiting for your hair to absorb the oil, pull it back.

Thick bushy hair!!!! help?

I don't think that anyone likes their hair and yours is a common question. I don't know what the annoying part is, but I can help with the thick part. Try having your hair layered. You won't believe how much lighter it will feel, and you will get lots of natural movement in a head of hair that simply hung there. If you have natural curl, its even better. Also you could try go to a hair salon and ask them to thin out your hair for you.

Thick bushy hair!!!! help?

I have the same problem.

I'm thinking abotu getting my hair naturally strightened using the Bio-Ionic Straightening System.

I googled it, and there are great results.

It lasts for about a year, and I had a friend had it done.

Her hair is down to her lower back and is thick and curly, and it still looks fantastic.

It dries straight too.

Thick bushy hair!!!! help?

I know what you are talking about...

First try getting your hair trimmed. Get all the dead ends off, and have the stylist thin it from underneath as well.

Then, invest in a really REALLY good straightener. I used to have a regular straightener that I bought at Target. But it didn't really help. My mom bought me a CHI straightener and it has worked wonders for my hair. Even when I'm out in humidity it stays straight.... And my hair used to go crazy in humidity. The CHI really is worth every bit of money that you pay for it. It cost me around $150 3 years ago, but they may have gotten less expensive since then. And, well, it's lasted me 3 years so far.

The tools make ALL the difference in the world! If you get a good straightener, then you won't need any hair products that make it all greasy and whatnot. Go to a beauty supply store like Sally Beauty Suplies and ask them what straightener they recomend. I of course recomend the CHI. It has changed my life. I actually love my hair now!

Thick bushy hair!!!! help?

First of all...whoever said it's nasty to go 4 days without washing your hair, no it's not. Don't listen to them. My hair works much better if I only wash it about twice a week, and doesn't get nearly as dry.

Second, is your hair naturally curly, or just thick? If it is truly bushy, it probably has some natural curl. Instead of straightening it, why not try to work with it. Don't try to brush it when it's dry. Wet it, comb out the tangles with a wide toothed comb, run some gel or cream through it (I use Noodle Head by Beyond the Zone...you can get it Sally's, but only use it the first day after you've washed your hair...after that, use something lighter, like Herbal Essences Totally Twisted curling gel), turn your head upside down and scratch your fingers through it to separate the curls, and then use a diffuser to dry it.

I would also recommend having it cut by a professional that is used to dealing with thick, bushy hair. Layers help mine, but they have to be gradual layers...defined layers will make it stick out even more.

Can people with straight hair get 360 waves?

Can I get 360 waves if my hair is straight. Because I would really like to start trying to get them but I want to make sure I'm not doing it for nothing. And people say the best hair cut to compliment 360 waves is a low-cut caeser and a razor line. Also what type of brush should I have because my hair is like soft. And what is all the products need to maintain 360 waves like stocking cap etc.

Can people with straight hair get 360 waves?

no because a wave is straightened out curl layed down

Can people with straight hair get 360 waves?

Yes you can....but you'll need to use S-curl ( and carefully...read instructions)...it doesn't cost much and it baiscally makes your hair curly...from there get a a real soft brush but stil boar bristle and brush in this pattern: http://www.wavebuilder.com/i/b... every chance you get Report It

Can people with straight hair get 360 waves?

if you want permanent wave, ask at the salon for a 360 body wave, it will last permanently until your hair grows out. also, use a natural boar bristle brush, there the best you can get for your hair. there kinda expensive but worth it! hope this helps

Can people with straight hair get 360 waves?

http://www.how2getwaves.com helps a lot of people get 360 waves.

Hair question for peole wh know hair?

I know u lose like 100 strands or less a day is it normal from not losing alot of hair for like a week that it could have just stayed at the ends waiting for u to brush it out because out of the whole week today i lost the most and wasn't from the root just the ends because i haven't brushed till today and i have very long hair down my back so is that normal

Hair question for peole wh know hair?

Yes, this is totally normal. If hair loss is caused by the telogen phase (this is the last phase of the growth cycle of each individual hair, and it lasts about 3-6 months culminating in the loss of the hair) and not systemic or chemical causes, the fact that your hair is so long easily masks your loss when you don't brush your hair for a while. When this hair is lost, it will fall out from the root, work its way down the hair shaft, and end up in your shower/hairbrush/floor/etc. Since your hair is very long and you haven't brushed it in a while, be sure to use a wide-tooth comb and be gentle to prevent excess damage. Hope this helps!

Hair question for peole wh know hair?

yea the same thing happens to me! i think is normal

Hair question for peole wh know hair?

Yes it is completely normal.

And, I don't want to make people sound like dogs...but.

in a way, we shed too.

When they get excited or during certain times of the season, they have blow outs...where they shed more often than normal.

We do this sometimes too. Weather, stress, how often we wash hair, how often and much we use products, diet and sleep can all effect your hair.

Maybe try to keep track of what you did a couple days before a noticable hair loss.

You might find a reason.

Hair question for peole wh know hair?

Yes it is normal. When Me and my husband first moved in together before we were married LOL he said honey there has been a lot of hair in the bathroom. Really long hair so I know its your. Is there a problem with you why are you pulling your hair out. LOLOL I laughed so hard. I was like honey women shed hair everyday and since my hair is long it look like more than it is. He thought I was pulling my hair out. LOLOL. Men.

Hair question for peole wh know hair?

normal happens to me too

Recently my hair is having lots of splits ends and it seems like it's brun?

what can cause that to happen? is it because of the new type of shampoo conditioner, high level blow dry, or wrong type of brushes use? btw my hair is very thin and long and the splits ends is starting from the top. I just got a cut, but it doesn't help that much.

Recently my hair is having lots of splits ends and it seems like it's brun?

You might want to have some layers cut in your hair. It could be the thinness and the length that is causing it to break off. Blow drying can break your hair. You should use it on a low setting if even at all. I'd recommend hot oil treatments like VO5 and Redken shampoo and smoothing conditioner. You can use Garnier Fructis smoothing serum to keep those flyaway hairs down.

Recently my hair is having lots of splits ends and it seems like it's brun?

dont use conditioners. put oil on your hairs weekly and see what happens

Recently my hair is having lots of splits ends and it seems like it's brun?

ok first let gets started with shampoo and conditioner Iwould suggest biolage for both its very moisturizing and great for damaged hair and u must deep condition your hair once a week. also only use a comb when your hair is went using a brush causes spilt ends. and when you are blowdrying your hair usea protecting serum with silicons or petroleum products in it ps biolage is a tad bit expensive but its well worth it u can get a bottle at a hairsalon for aboutt 25 dollers for both soo good luck

Recently my hair is having lots of splits ends and it seems like it's brun?

go to the hair dresses and get your split ends cut off if you want ask them to make your her look healthy and then its the making it healthy use Palmolive naturals shampoo and conditioner it really helps if not ask the hair dresses what to do.............

I have a hair question; I'm not very "style savvy"; need advice...?

I have naturally wavy hair that after washing it, curls up quite nicely. I've been told by hairstylists when I go for a haircut or whatever, that I can keep these curls by not brushing them out and just putting curl activator or gel/mousse in and scrunching it. Well I purchased a curl activating spray from the salon and tried using it today; it worked ok but my hair still looked "unbrushed." It looked like I'd just gotten out of bed. How can I have my hair looking nice if I can't brush it?? I want to keep the curls, but if I brush it out, they just flatten out. Advice please?!

I have a hair question; I'm not very "style savvy"; need advice...?

Take it from someone with thick curly hair - buy a really wide tooth comb and comb it out while it's still wet. Put the gel in and then comb through it again.

Don't use a brush - it ~will~ take out the wave/curl.

Good luck!!

I have a hair question; I'm not very "style savvy"; need advice...?

when your hair is wet, put the activator in and then twist your hair around your finger...like you are making ringlets and that may help "smooth" the look

I have a hair question; I'm not very "style savvy"; need advice...?

I'VE GOT A PERM LIKE THAT NOW AND LOVE IT. JUST BRUSH AND COMB YOUR HAIR IN THE MORNING AND THEN MIST IT WITH WATER AND SCRUNCH IT. GOOD LUCK TO YOU. YOU CAN ALWAYS FINGER COMB IF YOU WANT TO. I JUST LIKE TO FLUFF MINE SINCE I HAVE THIN HAIR.

I have a hair question; I'm not very "style savvy"; need advice...?

I have very curly hair. Never brush it. You will brush your curl right out %26amp; have a frizz ball. Wash your hair with a shampoo that encourages curl. Moisturize well. Then Using a curling mousse gently scrunch it into your hair concentraing on the ends...let air dry or use a hairdryer with a diffuser. I like to use a small amount of gel in the front of my hair just because I can get really frizzy. a good Mousse to try is Dove or anything for curls.

Also check out Ouida.com if you want more info for curly girls...

Hair problem!!!!?

i got my hair cut about 5 days ago....I got it layered and thinned out with a side fringe, when it was finished it looked amzing but since then i have washed my hair and blow dryed it using a round brush the way the pros do(but im no whre near that good)i even washed it with sunsilk silky and straight which helps to straigten your hair . but no matter how hard i try the fringe WONT work...my hair keeps frizzing and its going all wavy in a messy way!!!!i brush it and it still looks wierd....i dont use a straigtner and doubt that i will but can anyone give some advice?!!?!?!?!

Hair problem!!!!?

firstly blow dry your hair along the direction of growth otherwise ur hair sticks up.

then, get a hair brush and spray a little hair spray on it and brush it through your fringe. keep putting a little bit on at a time until ur hair isnt frizzy.

another thing to try is one of those spray water gels, because the mist is very fine, it doesnt jst stick to your hair and make it look like crap.

if you over condition your hair it makes it proper frizzy, so next time u condition, use the tiniest blob u can, like..the size of a pound, and apply it to the ends of ur hair only, stay away from your fringe. that way ur hair will be knot free where it needs to be, and not frizzy at ur fringe..

Hair problem!!!!?

Ask the salon what it is that they use on your hair. You know your hair best and what works for you and what now:)

Hair problem!!!!?

Sounds to me like you're having a "hair day"...

Honestly, try Pantene

Hair problem!!!!?

you have to use a leave-in product that will reduce the frizzies...you can easily find these products called hair serum which will reduce any moisture when setting your hair with the dryer. give yourself a chance, I know it takes a while to re-create the style at home

Hair problem!!!!?

just straighten your fringe. you dont have to use GHDs, you can get them for a tenner in chemists

Hair problem!!!!?

As said above ask what they used , or have your hair styled 3 times a week.. Big bonus tell your stylist what you want wash and go or i got time .

Hair problem!!!!?

Most hairdressers are willing to show you how to maintain the style they gave you.

Hair problem!!!!?

Try some of the hair smoothing products that are out on the market. I use allot of Charles Worthington products. They have everything from shampoo to hairspray.

Also be sure not to over-dry or brush your hair too much both of these can cause hair to frizz. When you try to make your hair fringed on the side work with your fingers and use a little hair gel or hairspray. It will take some work to get used to styling it but hey it is worth the effort!

Main thing is don't get discouraged and keep trying!

BTW when I was working in a salon if a client came to me and said "How did you do this??" I would wash their hair and take them through it so that they could see it again . Try calling your stylist and if that doesn't work there is no law against asking to watch other stylists in any salon style someones hair.

Good luck hun I hope this helps you out some.

Hair problem!!!!?

There are dozens of anti frizz products out there. The trouble with getting your hair done in a salon is they load your hair down with so many products; even if you have had a bad cut, it can be disguised with mousse, serum, straightening spray, etc.

John Freida anti frizz serum is very good.

So are the Aussie products.

Look for a range of products made especially for keeping hair sleek.

I have hair now in one length, just to the nape of my neck; but in my haircut brfore the last one, I asked for layering and a side fringe, I went back to the salon and they advised something like a GHD, which I wasn't really keen on either.

In the end , I gave up on making the fringe stay in place; so i moussed it when I washed, and blow dried it slightly back from my forehead, making it look as if it was part of my hair rather than just a fringe, and I liked the effect so much, I kept it.!

I think it would do no harm to talk to them in the salon anyway; they want their customer to be happy, and might offer you some sort of treat for your hair.

Hair problem!!!!?

OK: wash your hair, but don't put any conditioner on.

Instead, make a concoction from a little olive oil (sesame, jojoba, evening primrose would be great, but any old oil will do, as long as you haven't actually fried anything in it previously), a whole egg and some honey.

Slap it on, leave for as long as you can.

Wash off, condition as usual.

Add some CIDER vinegar into a bottle of lukewarm water, give it a shake, then use it as the last rinse.

Dry your hair, don't rub towel all over it, just pat it (otherwise you end up braking the ends, and such).

Now, when using a hair-drier, gently PULL the hair strands in a direction you want it to go. Hold a moment or two, then move on.

The whole point of putting on a hair-mask is to let your hair recover from the cut id received recently.

The style-tips are all about telling your hair what you want it to do, retraining it, if you like.

Try it, this should work.

Hair problem!!!!?

Ask the salon what they used on your hair.....or try using a straightner!

Hair problem!!!!?

GHD hair straightners they are actually amazing......nofrizz and sleek straight hair they are the best straightners out there.also try toni n guy sleek n str8 serum.. apply 2 dry hairx

Hair problem!!!!?

you have to straighten the fringe with a ceramic straightner. if i didnt use one i would just have a fuzzy kink where my fringe is but i straighten it every morning and its sleek.

Hair problem!!!!?

I think going back to the salon would be a good idea get them to blowave your hair while there blowaving ask them to give you some tips on the parts your having trouble with and also buy what ever it is they use in your hair, also try buying the de lorenzo leave in conditioner its real good and helps with broken hair from frizzing.

good luck

Hair problem!!!!?

Firstly sunsilk contains silicone which doesnt smooth or straighten your hair so that is probably the initial problem.

I'd recommend a range called Strait Line by L'anza, they have a good shampoo, conditioner, smoother and heat defence.

What you've got to remember is you're hair will never look as good as the salon blowdry. Don't try to copy what you have seen your stylist do.

If you have a side fringe, use the hairdryer nozzle to really blast it down straight, without a brush. This sets it to sit at a side angle later on. Use your fingers to pull the hair down.

If your fringe is longer (easier to manage) then you can use a paddle brush underneath it to reduce frizz.

You must remember fringes only look smooth and sleek with good products, a good hairdryer and straighters.

I'd recommend L'anza Anti Ageing serum for smoothness. I use it and it is 鎷?9 a bottle but lasts for AGES!

Alternatively try Super Skinny Serum by Paul Mitchell.

I hope this helps.

Hair problem!!!!?

Ok, if they used straigteners at the salon thats why it looked soo good, so invest in some straighteners and you're hair would probably go perfect!!!

Hair problem!!!!?

use straighteners, but make sure you use a heat defence spray first otherwise you'll ruin your hair, good luck!

Hair problem!!!!?

Spray a little hairspray on your round brush and blowdry as normal, pulling your fringe down, not out. It should hold your fringe in place and discourage frizz : )

How easily should hair come out? and how to stop it.?

Ok. i have kinda thick hair, im 14, like my hair, when it starts to get long, it doesent lay down it kinda gets poofy =]. but recently, i've noticed when i brush or run my hands through my hair and look at my hand i can see like 0-4 pieces in my hand.and actually sometimes i dont see any come onto my hand.

my hair is about 4-5 inches long, and like i said, its not flat on my head, its kinda poofy. but How easily should hair come out and how much should i see when i run my hands through my hair, its not like my hair comes out in clumps or anything , but when it does come out i dont really feel it, i feel a little pull, but no pain for 1 strand of hair, any ideas?

How easily should hair come out? and how to stop it.?

Livewire....... It sounds like normal hair shedding. I done hair for years as a beautician, stylist, barber. I would recommend a good shampoo, and conditioner. Make sure when you use the shampoo you wet your hair first, then put about a dab of shampoo about the size of a nickle in the palm of your hand, and work it together with both hands before you put it in your hair. That way it will be distributed more evenly rather then just in one spot when it's applied with just one hand. Rinse the shampoo really good then apply the conditioner the same way. Then rinse the conditioner until the water runs clean while your rinsing it. Also do the same for your pubic hair, and body hair as our body soaps are very damaging to our hair. You will find your hair will thank you, and you will love your hair better. Most shampoos are PH balanced today if not all of them. Pick one you like, and stop worring your fine! Good Luck!

How easily should hair come out? and how to stop it.?

if you use product, stop using it. also use shampoo and conditioner if you really think its a problem.

How easily should hair come out? and how to stop it.?

Maybe you should wash ur hair and treat your hair better, if your running around sweating all day with your hair bouncing around go have a shower (after your done of course) and get some shampoo

How easily should hair come out? and how to stop it.?

if your hair is really frizzy and doesn't get greasy after 2 days than only use shampoo every other day, but still wash your body in the shower. this will down your puffiness and frizz

I have a major hair problem!!!!!!!?

I have a major hair problem!!!!!!!?

make you hair messy using the hair spray( but not "scruched", you dont want it to look wet) then if you have a headband try this style, by just pulling it back. Wear long earrings so that your hair is not the main focus.

also the dance is formal so you dont have to dress up that much

I have a major hair problem!!!!!!!?

ok. call up your BFF who is going to the dance too, go to her house and get ready there. she'll help you out and in the end you can still be hot. it'll be fine. good luck!

I have a major hair problem!!!!!!!?

After you are finished screaming, try the braid idea, as this will make your hair wavy, it will look nice.

I have a major hair problem!!!!!!!?

ok. since your hair obviously isn't going to be the "wow factor" of your outfit, try doing really extravagant make up.

since it's a halter dress, i would recommend wearing you hair up. try scrunching it and then putting it in a "messy" but a pretty clip.

for makeup, since our dress is black, do something very shimmery on your eyes with lots of mascara and eyeliner (make sure it's not TOO much...). then go for a pale pink lipstick that'll last all night, and wont look too overpowering.

goodluck, i hope it all works out!!!

I have a major hair problem!!!!!!!?

first u need 2 calm down. i think i have an idea. u should definently pull ur hair into a messy bun and leave 2 side pieces hangin down. it should do :)

I have a major hair problem!!!!!!!?

Ok here is a picture that might help you, Im going to a dance tonight too by the way :)

http://photobucket.com/mediadetail/?medi...

but if that isnt possible, I suggest this:

http://photobucket.com/mediadetail/?medi...

but what is always possible is to just pin it up, it looks simple yet elegant, Best of luck!

I have a major hair problem!!!!!!!?

take the gel put a wad in your hair and brush it that will give you straight hair

grad the rubber bands and put up the sides of your hair up like bring it up

umm make some braids

ahh i think scrunching is formal just scrunch your hair and staighten your bangs with the gel and bruch then put some hair spray(hair spray is bad for the inviroment=[ )

hope it helped

I have a major hair problem!!!!!!!?

here's an easy way to pull your hair up in a bun and it looks very formal:

1. to make your bun you first take some clean socks and cut the toe out. begin rolling them to make them look like a donought with a hole in the middle. use more socks till it's the desired size you would like your bun to be.

2. pull your hair in a ponytail, where ever you want your bun to be (I do mine on top of my head)

3. pull your ponytail through the sock donought thingy you made in step one.

4. spread the excess ponytail hair over and around the sock to cover it up and pin hair hair under the sock to make it stayor use another ponytailer to hold it down.

*it's pretty simple once you get started and only takes like 10 minutes to do. I used to wear my hair like this all the time when I didn't want to fix it. if you do it on top of your head it looks really elegant.. hope this helps.*

I have a major hair problem!!!!!!!?

Go for a sleek, posh look! Since your dress is halter, wear it back.

Do a low ponytail, take a small segment of hair, and wrap it around the rubber band several times. Now, tuck the end of this piece in, secureing it with a hair pin will help!

It should look like this:

http://www.hairextensionsnow.com/catalog...

I have a major hair problem!!!!!!!?

Do the braid thing, but, DON'T fully wet it, or it could take forever to dry. Take a spray bottle %26amp; lightly mist your hair. Then, take your gel %26amp; work it through it. Next, take your hair %26amp; make 2 braids (one on each side so you look like pochantis). Take your hair dryer %26amp; start to dry the braids. After they are fully dry, wait for your hair to cool down %26amp; then take the braids out %26amp; lightly finger comb them to loosen them up %26amp; then lightly mist with hair spray. If you don't want your hair to be fully down with being wavy, do the partly up look (not the half-up/half-down, but, when you just take the very front/top pieces %26amp; pull them back so the rest of your hair is hanging) It will look very pretty like this with being wavy.

It'll be like a wavy version of how J-Lo looks in this pic

I have a major hair problem!!!!!!!?

sounds like trouble!

DONT CURL YOUR HAIR WITH BRAIDS

the curls go away after a while, and think about it,

EVERYONE else will be wearing there hair curled.

try just putting small amount of hair in a clip to the side

or something.

I have a major hair problem!!!!!!!?

DONT SKIP OVER THIS ANSWER!READ:

dont braid it while its wet and do the thing everyone is saying. It makes your hair tacky, unelegant, poofy, and troll-like.(plus, u cant get it out without washing it.)Instead, scrunch your hair. pull part of your hair back with a nice clip and leave some of the front pieces out. Look like a superstar..dont make your hair so perfect and gelled down!

if this doesn't work, i recommend running to a walgreens or CVS or something and buying a curling iron or straightener! you'll need one someday anyway!

I have a major hair problem!!!!!!!?

scrunch your hair::

take a shower. after coming out..dry your hair with a towel so that your hair is not tripping wet but still wet. then take your hands and push your hair up so that it makes curls in your hair. then take the gel and spread it through out all of your hair so that the curls will stay in place. use the hairspray to finialize it. i suggest putting in two rounds of gel and hairspray. take a small "shark" clip and take the top of your hair and clip it back. hope you like it =]

Are there any good ways that make the hair grow faster or longer?

Hi!

I really need my hair to grow long, because that's the only way I like it. It's touching the bottom of my shoulderblades now but I want it to grow even faster. And I really want to do whatever is possibly helpful to make my hair grow faster. Am I supposed to brush it like a hundred times a day? What am I supposed to do? Any advice people? Any good products I can use?

ps. please don't day Mane and Tail, because I don't live in the USA and we can't get that shampoo over here.

pps. If this helps somehow - I have curly hair that gets pretty easily greasy.

Believe it or not, Prenatal Vitamins help grow your hair stronger. It is safe to take prenatal vitamins if you are not pregnant, they are just vitamins with more essential nutrients than other vitamins.

1) Take prenatal vitamins daily

2) have split ends trimmed at least every other month

3) Do NOT shampoo everyday - At most every other day

4) Do NOT use chemicals like dyes or bleach in your hair

5) Deep condition your hair monthly

6) Hot oil treatment monthly

7) Let your hair naturally dry - stay away from blow dryers, curling irons, straighteners, hot rollers, etc...

Not only will your hair grow considerably faster, but it will be stronger, healthier and shinier

May the good spirits be with you always,

Michelle

Scalp hair grows 0.33 cm per week on an average. The pace of hair growth differs from individual to individual depending upon gender, genetics, age, and by nutrient insufficiency. The speed of hair growth also intensifies due to the effects of gravity.

The best way to embark upon this journey is with nutritious dietary habits. It is believed that having a diet with adequate potions of essential nutritional foods is very beneficial for faster growth of hair. For instance, introduction of iron enriched foods like spinach, beans can help to enhance the circulation of blood in the scalp thus encouraging healthy hair growth. Are there any good ways that make the hair grow faster or longer?

Hair, on average, grows up to 1/2 inch per month, and there aren't many things a person can do to increase that number. However, there are things you can do to ensure steady hair growth. Frequent trimming is the most important. Get the ends trimmed every 6-8 weeks to avoid getting split ends, which can halt hair growth. Nutrition is also important. A lack of nutrients can slow down hair growth. Taking a multi-vitamin supplement may help your hair grow faster. Adequate sleep helps as well, since sleep helps regulate hormone levels.

Need Help!!!! Hair problems!!?

I am getting married in less than a week. I am going to color my hair the same color as I have it know but I have been loosing a lot of hair. Especially when I take a shower and brush it afterwards. Is it bad if I color it?? Would it be worse?? I need advise.

Need Help!!!! Hair problems!!?

you should ask your hair dresser before you do anything if your worried about it. Especially since its before your wedding! good luck!

Need Help!!!! Hair problems!!?

it dont sound good maybe you should just touch up your roots

Need Help!!!! Hair problems!!?

ok u should maybe go see the doctors to see if there is something wrong or u should get a different shampoo

that is all i can tell u good luck wit ur marrige

Need Help!!!! Hair problems!!?

Yea I think that is the reason you are shedding hair. I'm sure it is growing back. When I got a perm, when I would take a shower or comb it, it would fall out like crazy too. It grew back and I don't get perms anymore and my hair doesn't fall out. Any harsh chemicals you put in your hair are going to damage it in some way. I would not die it for a while and see if it stops falling out.

Need Help!!!! Hair problems!!?

no dont worry, color it, loosing hair is normal, its usually becuase of stress or if your get angry alot anywayzz it grows bak color ur hair den afta ur wedding see a profession GOOD LICK

But the problem is tht it smells baaaad. Wat can I do? Is there any type of oil (found easily even in the Mid. East) that doesn't stink????

Alright, my aunt put relaxer in my hair without me knowing. my hair was wavy on top when i brushed i

Finally, my hair is straight on top, not wavy, and i really want that back, how do i get it back? by using spray, creme , gel, mousse? what? help me!!!!! i want my real hair back!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright, my aunt put relaxer in my hair without me knowing. my hair was wavy on top when i brushed it.?

i think the only thing you can do to get your natural hair back is to let it grow out

that wasnt very nice of your aunt to do something without telling you.

but for now, you can use a curling iron, curling hairspray and scrunching products to make your hair wavy and curly

or you can just enjoy your new hairstyle while the relaxer is still in your hair.

Alright, my aunt put relaxer in my hair without me knowing. my hair was wavy on top when i brushed it.?

A relaxer is permanent. Your hair has to grow out for it to go away. I would say put rollers in your hair to get some of the waves back until then.

How can I keep my hair straight all day?

I have very wavy, shoulder length hair and I can straighten it and it looks really nice but as soon as I go outside my hair poofs up and then when i brush it its really curly, I have some shockwaves products and some wax and stuff like that but I cant go out now to get some stuff because I need it straight for tomorrow because I want to look fab for my first day at school

How can I keep my hair straight all day?

Ahh..

The Damned Frizz problem.

Well, I think thats quite simple.

Use Conditionairs...ALOT!

After shower, Between shower, Before shower.

Just freakin` use alot of it!

And not just pea sized Dollops...GENEROUSE PORTIONS!

That helped me Combat Frizzy hair.

Hope that helps, Good luck in school! xx

How can I keep my hair straight all day?

Chemical straightening is always an option, not one i would recomend but if it bothers you so much then........chemical straighten.

How can I keep my hair straight all day?

umm i dont think it will stay all day unless u have a really powerful straightener cuz i have a week straghtener and my hair wont stay up all day only have the day and it also counts in how much hair u have

How can I keep my hair straight all day?

use straightening shampoo and conditioner and serum. blowdry 2 inch sections of your hair at a time with a large round metal brush and then straighten. apply a second coat of straightening serum. good luck! :D

How can I keep my hair straight all day?

well if ur willing to pay more money, get a chi straightener or a her styler they are awesome straighteners

i have thick wavy hair thats about 6 inches below my shoulders and my chi works really good but i also use a serum before i straighten it....and i let it air dry...so hope i helped!!

My 4 year old chiuhaha is losing her hair?

My 4 year old chiuahah is losing her hair. This has been going on for about 4 months now. I thought that she was just getting old and was shedding like crazy, but lately I realize that I think shes balding! We have been brushing her and cutting her hair nonstop but we continue to find chunks and CHUNKS of her hair all over the house. When you barely touch her or pet her, chunks of her fun fall into your hair. Even the hair thats on her head thats barrrrelly even there..if u barely touch it, it all comes out. I am VERY worried. This is not normal shedding. I have had her since she was 8 months old and she never shed like this. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!! I'M SCARED! I can't afford expensive vet visits!! ANY ADVICE?

My 4 year old chiuhaha is losing her hair?

I am not a vet, but I've had Chihuahuas all my life. My first advice is to go to a vet. If you can't afford that, I would look up a reliable Chihuahua breeder to give you good advice.

Your Chi may have a food allergy. I would change his food to a Ultra premium dog food like INNOVA EVO. There are no grains in this food, and so hopefully the allergen will be missing in this food. Science Diet makes a WET food for dogs with allergies. I think they make the protein molecules non allergic, but you probably need a vets prescription to get it.

You might also check to see if your dog doesn't have any parasites. Do you use flea drops?

You might also try a peroxide based pet shampoo. That will help with staph germs and other skin conditions.

Please let us know what worked for you.

My 4 year old chiuhaha is losing her hair?

You have to find out what is causing the hair loss before you can fix it. It could be allergies, food, fleas,. One thing I wonder, is she a blue chihuahua. They often have a skin condition called alopecia. They can end up a;most bald. You should take her to the vet. Also has she had pups within the last few months? They "blow their coat" after whelping a litter. Some females lose more hair than others.

My 4 year old chiuhaha is losing her hair?

Try switching her to a better food with no fillers in it. Get a food that has no corn wheat or byproducts. You should get her some canidea or Innova dog food. But she does really need to go to a vet.

Added My Friend had the same problem after her chi had puppy's and the vet told her to give her dog fish oil capsule's half a day.My friends dogs fur has grown back .Its from having pups that is why the fur is falling out.put the fish oil in some wet food .That should help.

My 4 year old chiuhaha is losing her hair?

Is she scratching also? If so it could be hot spots and you would need to get a hot spot treatment from a pet store and switch to a high quality food, like Avo-Derm or Pinnacle (not part of recent recall). It could also be mange which should be checked by a vet they will probably have you give it a sulfur dip (smells really bad but works) I would find a low cost vet in your area and take her to. If your child was ill you would be at the doctor so as a responsible pet owner you should see a vet.

My 4 year old chiuhaha is losing her hair?

if she is bloody red nasty looking she may have the mange...if thats spelled rite...lol....if she does have that ...HAVE HER DIPPED!!!!take it to the vet!!!!!

Braid and spray to curl my hair?? I'm black AND white!?

I want to bring out my waves again and I was wondering if after I wash my hair would this work:

Finger combing it, putting two braids or buns in, and then using a curling spray, and blow or air drying my hair.

I am black and white with dry and frizzy hair. I have natural wave but I usually brush them out... would this work? Yes, my hair is chemically relaxed too.

Braid and spray to curl my hair?? I'm black AND white!?

Next time you wash your hair towel dry it put some mousse in (Options worked pretty good for me)

Then finger part it in approx. 1.5 - 2 inch squares; separate the hair in two pieces and twist them together (simple twist) then twist the twist (it will roll back on itself - like when you try to wring a towel dry and when it can't wring any further it starts to curl into it self) and as it starts to form a knot continue to wrap the remainder around it, sometimes you can wrap it and it stays but if your ends are blunt it probably won't so u can secure it with a hairpin or bobby pin.

Do this over your entire head. These are called corkscrews -let's pretend you didn't know this even if you did cuz I don't wanna acknowledge that I may have just written all of that for nothing. :o)

You can let it air dry but if your hair is long it'll take quite a while, you can help it along with a blow dryer but ideally you should sit under a hood dryer for a tighter curl in a shorter time and it lasts longer too (sometimes you can go the entire week if you secure your curls properly at night I use to sleep on a satin pillow case but that is said to cause breakage but whatever works for you is fine).

If you don't have a hood dryer and have time and no where to go immediately just let it dry on it's own. You can check every hour to guage how much longer before you can let them out.

When dry, unwrap each on and gently seperate with your fingers.

This is something that's best done at night and your hair doesn't always have to be freshly washed, you can spray each section with leave-in conditioner and a bit of mousse then proceed; it's usually good to go by morning.

Depending on the size of curl you desire you can part the sections bigger or smaller.

Hope this helps!

Braid and spray to curl my hair?? I'm black AND white!?

Because your hair is Chemically relaxed. . .the natural wave will NOT come back by just washing your hair. . .well not immediately that is.

You see, once your hair is chemically relaxed, it will remain straight until new hair grows out. The new hair will have the natural curl or wave in it.

I am African American and I ditch the chemical relaxer several years ago -- I get a press %26amp; curl every other week and my hair remains straight, at night I simply wrap my hair to keep it straight. Of course, when I wash my hair, the natural curl comes back because the press and curl is a temporary straightener.

Anyways, good luck. . .if you are interested in keeping your natural curl in the future, you might want to consider wearing braids in your hair for 6+ months so that your natural hair can grow in and then you can simply cut off of your chemically relaxed hair.

Braid and spray to curl my hair?? I'm black AND white!?

After u wash it u should damp your hair. Then keep it moist so that will stay wet .Then let it air dry or blow dry

Is hair easier to French Braid while wet or dry?

I have medium to long hair, it's natural curly but if I brush it out it's soft waves. I've been trying something new and braiding it. I've known how to braid my own hair since I was 10 yrs. old but can't remember what's better...

wet or dry?

thanks.

Is hair easier to French Braid while wet or dry?

when it's damp or dry.

Is hair easier to French Braid while wet or dry?

dry

Is hair easier to French Braid while wet or dry?

I think dry is easier. It's hard to get it smooth when it's wet - unless you use a brush at the same time.

Is hair easier to French Braid while wet or dry?

Well huni it dependz what type of hair you have!!! but i alwayz find it easier to french braid WET!!!!! xox

Is hair easier to French Braid while wet or dry?

matters if you want tight or loose.. i find its easier to do wet.. well damp at least.. you can pull the shorter hairs and tuck them better.. dry hair can look smoother though.. but the tighter you can get it.. the longer it stays looking nice

What's the difference between using a small round brush and using a big one?

I have shoulder-length hair, not layered. I use a small round brush and it takes me 30 minutes to straighten my hair when blow-drying. I was wondering, will it be easier for me to straighten it using a big one?

What's the difference between using a small round brush and using a big one?

yeah, it will be more hair for u to fix at one time

What's the difference between using a small round brush and using a big one?

A small round brush uses up less hair and a big one uses up more.

What's the difference between using a small round brush and using a big one?

the large ones for longer hair and no curls.small ones for short hair and curls and waves...try getting a brush that is ceramic.

What's the difference between using a small round brush and using a big one?

A bigger brush does help because you can fit more hair on it, so the blow drying will take less time, also a small brush gives more waves and curls in your hair, whereas the bigger the brush the straighter your hair will come out, i know i blow my own hair straight with a bio brush.

What's the difference between using a small round brush and using a big one?

yes... the size matters because the larger the brush the more volume you add in your hair. if your hair is shoulder length then you dont need a large round brush.. a larger round brush is suggested for people with long hair, it helps in drying the hair quicker (and more hair at a time) If you want you can test with the larger one, but you are better off with the smaller one.....

I have long, thick hair...but it is falling out.?

everytime I take a shower, take it out of a pony tail, or brush it, I have a handful of hair....am I going bald, or is it normal? I'm only 28 and have no history of baldness in the family.

I have long, thick hair...but it is falling out.?

I went through the same thing awhile back and my hairdresser told me it was normal especially for long or thick hair. I was not losing a "handful" but I was losing a lot. She said diet, medicine or hormone change will make you lose hair temporally.

I have long, thick hair...but it is falling out.?

You probably have nothing to worry about. I have very thick hair and I go through stages where I feel like I am going to go bald because each time I run my fingers through my hair I feel like I'm pulling a lock of hair out. It is perfectly normal to "shed" your hair.

However if it is getting excessive and happening ALL the time and coming out in large amounts EVERY time, see a doctor.

But chances are, there is nothing to worry about. :-)

I have long, thick hair...but it is falling out.?

There are many reasons for your hair loss, but given your age it may be a hormone problem. If you have a HMO, quick, use your annual checkup now! :)

How many strands come out? Ask a good friend to tell you if a visible bald spot is appearing. Since you have no history of baldness, you might want to mention that to your doctor when you get your checkup.

It could be stress, a change in the weather, hormones...suggest you track down any changes in your routine so you can identify the source, and treat it accordingly.

Do you leave hairs behind on your pillow? You might want to tie the hair back loosely so that you don't tear it out at night when you move.

Are you brushing too violently? Try a detangler before combing wet hair; wet hair is most vulnerable to breakage.

You could also be using too much shampoo and conditioner; this can suffocate hair follicles through buildup and weaken the hair root.

It's going to be like CSI for a while as you try to figure it out, so good luck :)

I have long, thick hair...but it is falling out.?

my mom's hair started doing the same thing....she had full think hair too...so she went to the doctor and had her THYROID checked it turns out she had an UNDER ACTIVE THYROID...and that was what was making her hair fall out

I have long, thick hair...but it is falling out.?

No need to worry. It's comon to loose hair in your brush, bottom of the tub, or in you elastic band. What you do need to know is that you loose 100-150 strands a day..... it may not seem more, but trust me, this is true.

What you need to do is when you get out of the shower, use a pic instead of a brush. Your hair is most fragile after your shower, pic your hair, don't jam it through. Next, use a metaless hair tie.... taking out your hair tie that had the little piece of metal on, that's breaks your hair when your ripping that out.

I have long, thick hair...but it is falling out.?

have you by any chance been on birth control for a while?

this can cause it. I have long hair too and was on the depo, its a side effect.

I have long, thick hair...but it is falling out.?

Massage aloe Vera gel over the scalp, leave it for about one hour. After this rinse the hair with warm water. It gives excellent results for hair loss if one uses this massage at least 3-4 times a week. Check out

I need help with my hair??

i'm only 16 and just recently whenever i brush or even just run my hair through my hair a lot of hair comes out.. and i understand that it is normal for some hair to come out.. but this is an abnormal amount of hair.. i haven't been doing anything different to my hair.. i am just rly getting worried.. b/c i did have rly thick hair and i can feel it getting thinner. what do i need to do to fix this?

I need help with my hair??

I have the same problem

FIrst off - if you are using ' Pantene Pro-V ' that stuff makes your hair fall out so don't use that shampoo. And secondly only shampoo your hair say 2 - 3 times a week. It will make it stronger.

Try looking for shampoo that 'strength your hair'

Garnier Fructics works well.

I need help with my hair??

Okay don't worry girl i have thick hair too and my hair comes out. Whenever you brush hair you will have some hair come out..it may seem like alot but its not. Dying hair, perming, straightening, even damage from the sun will cause breakage and loss of hair. Alot of prescriptions have that side effect too but the loss is minimal. But a good shampoo and conditioner i recommend Sunsilk this stuff is really good, smells good and is cheap. Then you need to buy a leave in conditioner spray with UV protection. Believe it or not you have to protect your hair from the sun. Now no more worrying you are perfectly normal. Also one tip don't brush your hair when its dry!!! ONLY when it is wet to damp.

I need help with my hair??

Well... on average everyone loses 100 strands of hair a day. When I was 16, I also went through something similar. My hair was falling out everywhere in handfuls. Pretty yucky, but it did eventually stop.

I need help with my hair??

try going into the hair salon and getting thickening shampoo from them don't go with in store shampoos, that and they can tell you if you are losing too much hair or not

I need help with my hair??

Ask your doctor about this at your next appointment. Also, make sure you are getting proper nutrition, and take a daily multivitamin.

Hope this helps!

I need help with my hair??

i have the same exact problem. see what you need to use is Garnier Fructics. that stuff works soooo good. and dont put gel and hair spray in your hair.

I need help with my hair??

Shampoos that contain sodiul laureth sulphate are very harmful to hair, I have started ones without sodium laureth sulphate %26amp; my hair doesn't fall out as much. Try your local health shop (faith in nature, JASON, Weleda are good brands). you can also try this website (they have free P%26amp;P) for one that you like

this is a very good remdy for hair loss(alopecia):

take a strong multi-vitamin %26amp; mineral tablet everyday plus 2 grams of vitamin C %26amp; zinc tabletsThere'll be zinc in the multi-vitamin but take the extra dose as instructed on the container until the hair begins to grow normally.

PS%26gt; Victoria Health do some good mutil-vitamins

Styling hair tips?

Why don't you go to a hair dresser and show them the picture and see if they can do it.

Styling hair tips?

first blow dry your bangs with a round brush (about a 2 inch round brush) then touch up with a straightening iron. then spray some light hold hairspray on a boar hair brush and then brush your hair.

first make sure though that you have very thick sidebangs...

hope this helps :)

Is it bad to straighten your hair every day?

Well my hair isn't nesecarily(sp?) curly, more wavy and it gets frizzy. If I don't striagten it, it looks like crap. If it is bad, are there any alternatives? I put it in a pony tail when I dont straigten it, but I like to keep my hair down.. I try to blow dry it straight but my hair is too thick to get a brush through that way.

Is it bad to straighten your hair every day?

Get your hair professionally straightened. It will last at least 3 months. You will ruin your hair for life if you straighten every day

Is it bad to straighten your hair every day?

it's not BAD... just use a good conditioner %26amp; try to to burn it! I use the new Dove heat styling spray whenever I iron ( most every day also, as we sound like we have exactly the same hair) and this stuff helps not get the little frazzles on the ends form too much heat.

Is it bad to straighten your hair every day?

yes it's bad but to protect your hair use tresemme heat tamer

Is it bad to straighten your hair every day?

It is bad, because it burns your hair and can make your hair brittle. Try not to straighten it every day , in the meantime try anti - frizz serum or spray. : ) Ruby x

Is it bad to straighten your hair every day?

yes straightening your hair every day is bad for it, as you are applying a lot of heat which will cause it damage. if you are going to straighten it every day try using products from the shops that are designed to protect your hair when using heat products on them. if not then try putting some mousse through your hair and scrunch it and wear it curly!

Is it bad to straighten your hair every day?

I am on the same exact boat, unfortunately. Umm yes straightening your hair is bad for it. It dries it out alot and creates breakage of your hair and split ends A LOT faster. I used to come to school with my hair straightened everyday and then i just got annoyed with it so i decided to start wearing my hair wavy.Everyone was shocked but they really liked the change. I use a curl boosting mouse. I like the Herbal Essences kind. It works the best for me. I hardly ever blow dry my hair too because my hair ALSO gets realllllly poofy. So I would stray from that. I think that you should start to not straighten your hair as much and try to wear your hair wavy.

:]

Is it bad to straighten your hair every day?

It's not necessarily bad, but I'm pretty sure it can mess up your hair a bit. Straightening your hair contributes to split ends, as you might know. Some options are getting it permanently straightened, which can be expensive I'm assuming. What you can do is use maybe some hair styling products and just let it flow naturally wavy. With the hair products, you can keep your hair under control. And if your hair gets in your face, you can just clip like the front sections back with some pretty clip.

I hope I helped in some way. The best of luck to you and your hair!

Is it bad to straighten your hair every day?

its not super good for your hair as i straighten mine almost every day....BUT if you use a heat sealant/protector on your hair before using the flat iron you should be ok. along with good hair products....

Is it bad to straighten your hair every day?

They say that heat straightening is very bad for your hair, so you shouldn't straighten it every day. If you must, use a heat protecting serum or spray before straightening.

You can use an olive oil or carrot oil hair moisturizer to help with the frizziness and that would also help your hair stay healthy and help it from the heat damage.

You should also wash your hair every other day with a frizz reducing shampoo and conditioner, e.g. sunsilk anti-frizz.

My hair is the same way, and I have to do this to make it look "normal". lol. Hope this helps you.

Is it bad to straighten your hair every day?

NO it does not damage it. Just put some heat resistance spray/gel in your hair or use a good shampoo, like sunsilk, redken or garnier.

My hair is currently dropping real bad when i brush it comes out on the brush in large amouts if i pass my hand through my hair it drops out what should i use to make it stop dropping and grow back nice and long and healthy?

I had real long thick hair it started dropping so i cut it thinking it would stop it didnt what should i do?

All women do lose hair on a daily basis. However, if it is coming out at an alarming rate, you should ask yourself some questions? How is your diet? Are you getting enough protein and vitamins? If not, try adding a supplement to your daily routine. How are your stress levels? Have you recently gone through something that could be causing this reaction from your body? If yes, try to relax. And, realize that it can take up to six months for your body to recoup after a seriously stressful situation. Are you taking any medications? If you are, check with your pharmacist to see if hair loss could be a potential reaction to the meds that you are on. And, if none of these situations apply to you, consult a doctor. Hope this helps!

I had real long thick hair it started dropping so i cut it thinking it would stop it didnt what should i do?

Hair is mostly protein, so you could try a supplement. Such severe loss could be a sign of something serious, so you should call your doctor.

I had real long thick hair it started dropping so i cut it thinking it would stop it didnt what should i do?

dont use hot things on your hair like straighteners or curlers. even drinking milk might help cause it has calcium which helps your hair nails and bones. my hair does this too and theres nothing wrong with me medically, so it might be something that just happens

How do you get pet hair out of fleece jacket?

My dog has really long hair, and it's stuck pretty well in my fleece jacket. I've tried washing and drying it twice, but it's still covered in hair, any suggestions?

p.s. a regular lint brush, and a sticky lint brush didn't work well. thankyou.

How do you get pet hair out of fleece jacket?

You should try a rubber lint brush. They use electrostatic action to lift dust, hair %26amp; lint. This is my favorite for getting dog hair off of clothes and I work at a grooming shop. I saw some at Linens-N-Things. Sweepa also makes some. http://www.sweepa.com/home_1.html

How do you get pet hair out of fleece jacket?

get a big piece of clear tape and stick it on there and pull it off. do several times until gone.

How do you get pet hair out of fleece jacket?

You could try using the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. Hope this helps.

How do you get pet hair out of fleece jacket?

Don't use sticky tape lint brush, it just makes lint stick to it. Vacumn it off is the best way I think

How do you get pet hair out of fleece jacket?

I really love my 2 dogs, but constantly fighting pet hair. Shake out the jacket then put it on. Put on a rubber dishwashing glove, stretch the material tight and rub the gloved hand over the fabric. Also works on furniture

Blood and Hair?

Hey guys, have a quick question for you. I was standing outside and someone came up behind me and brushed the side of my hair with their face, like they were the same height as me and he ran into me. When I looked at him, he had blood on his face. I think some of his blood got in my hair. I am freaking out. What should I do? Can HIV or Hep be in my hair? Should I cut out the area that he ran into? Will a simple shower get rid of it all? Please let me know, I'm freaking out.

Thanks

Blood and Hair?

While both of those diseases can be transferred through blood, if you don't have a cut or open wound on your head the chances are minuscule. Rinse the blood off your head without getting it anywhere else on you. Take a plastic bag, hold it in front of your face at the scalp line, and turn your head under the faucet in the sink to rinse your hair. Don't touch the blood if you don't have to, let the water rinse the blood from your head, continue rinsing until you don't see anything but clear water running from your head. You can even put plastic bags on your hands, or wear rubber gloves if you are concerned about the blood on your hands. Then, wash your hair, but don't dig into your scalp with your nails or you might scratch your head which would make an open wound, just in case any blood is still there. If you are unsure about having a cut, see your doctor. Chances are, everything is fine. Good Luck.

Blood and Hair?

wash your hair with gloves in a sink and all will be ok

Blood and Hair?

i really wouldn't worry unless you have an open wound on your hair. LoL just take a shower or just wash your hair in the sink so non of the blood will get on other parts of your body

Blood and Hair?

weird! but yes you could becouse the blood if it does have any infections or anything can travel threw your scalp and flow threw your blood. so i hope you wash it out right away.

Blood and Hair?

only of u have open cuts on your head will u become infected...

Blood and Hair?

Unless you have a cut or scrape on your head you should be fine. just make sure when you wash it out you dont touch any blood. The blood can't "soak" into your hair and get into your body that way. If it was like that, everyone would get all kinds of germs in their hair and a lot of people would be sick!

Blood and Hair?

Your second answer is good.....don't worry about it dude, you're cool.

Macrobid causing hair loss?!?

I have been taking generic Macrobid for a bladder infection. I have just taken my sixth does out of twenty and my hair is falling out! I just took a shower and it was gathering at my feet in clumps. Ok, maybe it was about twenty or thirty hairs, but that is a lot! Whenever I brush it or run my hands through it I get a few hairs as well. Should I stop taking it? It's Friday night so I can't exactly call my doctor.

Macrobid causing hair loss?!?

I can not call my doctor on a Friday night either. I would get a message to go to the emergency room.

And your problem is not exactly an emergency. I think I would continue to take the medication through the weekend and call my doctor first thing Monday morning. The bladder infection take precedence over your hair. Your hair will grow back .

With all the virulent germs out there it is dangerous to only partially treat an infection.

If you are prone to bladder infections I strongly recommend you make a daily habit of drinking cranberry juice or eating cranberries. For years I had 2 or 3 bladder infections a year. I have not had a bladder infection in over 20 years since I started my morning break-fast with a glass of cranberry juice. Sorry the cranberry juice will not cure a full blown infection... it is just for prevention.

Macrobid causing hair loss?!?

Call your doctor. If it's a possible side effect, he/she needs to know. Other questions: could you have a thyroid problem (an overactive thyroid leads to hair loss )? Did you recently have a child (6 months or so afterwards, hair loss like that is normal)?

You CAN call your doctor. They will have a doctor on call, so even if it's not your own doctor, one affiliated with your practice can return your call. Also, many insurance cards have a 1-800 number on the back for medical questions at all hours.

Macrobid causing hair loss?!?

http://www.medicationadvisor.com/side_ef...

Here is a site of a website that lists all the known side effects of Macrobid. I have Never heard of hair loss being one of them. That would be very RARE! I would think it would be something else not the antibiotics. I would call the pharmacist and ask what he says in the meantime. They know about alot of unheaerd side effects that we don't know about. Just call them and later call your Physician.

Like I said I have never heard of hair loss as a side effect for this particular medication but with all medication you never know.

How to keep fom losing my hair?

For the past few days my hair has been falling out in big clumps when I take a shower. My brush is full of them and my hair is limp and lifeless. I know this happens to people that just recently gave birth but my baby is five months old. Is it related. How can I keep it from falling out or how can I put some volume back into it?

How to keep fom losing my hair?

Have your dr. look into pcos. Its a main factor in losing hair. I was diagnosed just recently but had it after getting pregnant for the first time. Have your dr look into it. But just basic losing hair, It will stop soon. It might just be common shedding of hair and will stop shortly. Just brush your hair a lot and wait it out.

I have been losing what I would consider unnaturally large amounts of hair. What could be causing th

I am an eighteen year old female, just started college six months ago, and I used to have a very, very thick head of hair. Lately, I seem to be losing a lot of it, when I brush it, when I shower, and even when I just run my fingers through it! It does not seem to be breaking, it seems to be coming right out from the roots...

What is causing this and how can I solve the problem?

I have been losing what I would consider unnaturally large amounts of hair. What could be causing this?

It could be stress, bad nutrition, etc Have you had any hormonal changes? (ie starting birth control) When I started the pill I had that problem, my stylist recommended Nioxxin shampoo/conditioner, it's a scalp treatment and it really made a difference for me.

I have been losing what I would consider unnaturally large amounts of hair. What could be causing this?

Two of the leading causes of sudden hair loss are genes and stress. Hairloss may be inherited, but this is usually not sudden, but happens over time. What is sudden about it is that you notice large clumps of hair staying on the brush or comb when you do your hair each morning. Although this is common in males, it does happen to females as well. Severe stress has also been identified as a cause of sudden hair loss because it interferes with the inner workings of the body閳ユ獨 hormones. This can be psychological stress or trauma to the body following an accident or major surgery.

People that experience sudden hair loss contact their doctor immediately to try to find the causes of sudden hair loss. If there is no underlying stress or side effects from medication, sudden hair loss could be a warning sign of the early onset of a disease such as diabetes or lupus or even an infection of the scalp.

Some people who experience sudden hair loss realize that the problem is caused by DHT. This is usually what causes rapid hair loss due to genetic causes. The doctor can prescribe a DHT blocker as a shampoo or a topical solution that will help to slow the effects of thinning hair and help some of the hair to grow back. Of course every case is different. What works well for one person may not work for another.

One of the more serious hair loss causes is a condition called alopecia. There are several forms of this condition, but there is no cure for it. The forms of alopecia are:

璺?Alopecia areata 閳?in this form of the condition patients experience sudden hair loss in patches that leave bald spots in different parts of the scalp

璺?Alopecia totalis 閳?this results in total hair loss on all of the scalp

璺?Alopecia universalis 閳?this is total hairloss all over the body

When doctors are trying to find the causes of rapid hair loss, the first tests will be blood tests to determine whether there is an infection, a deficiency or a hormone problem. Sudden hair loss in itself is a traumatic experience and people often rush out and purchase all manner of products to try to get their hair to grow back. These products will probably not work unless you have identified the underlying causes of sudden hair loss. It is important to so this first rather than waste your money on products that will not do anything for you or your hair.

Sudden hair loss is not common, but happens. Find out the cause first before doing anything else.

I have been losing what I would consider unnaturally large amounts of hair. What could be causing this?

My guess is you have two things going on--stress and poor diet. I know when you get to college, you end up eating lots of junk food, and cafeteria food is not always the best. And college is very stressful. Both can be factors in hair loss. Try and get plenty of sleep. Try and eat healthier foods, and even take a multivitamin. You might talk to whoever cuts your hair about what else you can do. Maybe try a strengthening shampoo.

I have been losing what I would consider unnaturally large amounts of hair. What could be causing this?

I also have this problem and I am as well a college student. For me the reason for the hair loss was stress. I thought that I had a thyroid problem so I went to the doctor and all was fine. After being asked a few questions by my doctor he concluded that my hair loss was due to the stresses of college. I suggest that you go see your doctor to rule out any medical problems but it may most likely be stress.

I have been losing what I would consider unnaturally large amounts of hair. What could be causing this?

Stress, thyroid issues, and PCOS come to mind. I have PCOS and my hair is a lot thinner now than it used to be. When I was in 9th grade and stress-free, an entire patch of hair actually fell out (but luckily in a spot that could easily be covered by the rest of my hair).

A doctor could determine your situation, but if they don't give you a thorough check-up and just say that it's stress, I'd get a second opinion.

I have been losing what I would consider unnaturally large amounts of hair. What could be causing this?

I am 17 and i have the exact same problem, but mine is because my thyroids..and probably some stress too..lol. Have you gotten your thyroids checked?

Hair frizzing?

my hair is frizzing and everything after i brush it and put conditioner and products. i shower too and then when i wake up... POOF! how do i control my lions mane?

Hair frizzing?

I have a very similar problem to you, so I did research and hopefully what helped me will help you too! When showering, I recommend an anti-frizz shampoo and conditioner. I prefer the bottles from either Pantene or Sunsilk. Wash your hair as you normally do, but while conditioning, run your fingers through your hair gently. Towel dry your hair. Don't wrap it up in the towel or rub it dry- Just squeeze gently in the towel. Afterwards, it may help if you do not brush your hair. Brushing the hair with a many-bristled brush can break very fragile hairs causing frizz and fly aways. You can use a wide tooth comb or just use your fingers- It should still be untangled from running your fingers through with conditioner in the shower. After your done with all of that, it helps to use some light products. For major poofing (which I am a victim of), I like to use Sunsilk Anti-Poof. The name says everything, doesn't it? It helps soo much! I also use Redken anti-frizz serum and Redken Anti-frizz polishing milk. These I am not sure if you can find locally, however it might be in your salon (that's where mind is). That should help. It usually depends on what type of products your hair reacts to, but mine sounds very similar to yours, and all these products work great for me. I hope I helped. Remember: Most frizz and fly aways are caused by breakage of the hair while wet. Like I said before, it's extremely fragile and needs to be taken care of carefully. It also helps to let your hair dry before going to sleep. One can roll a lot in their sleep, putting themselves in a position to wake up with major chaos in the morning. It helps to be awake while the hair is drying because you can control it. You'll have frizz-free hair in no time!!! Good luck!!!

Hair frizzing?

i let mine dry in a bun and take it out in the morning, then apply a leave in conditioner. :) i have super frizzy hair also, ugh haha.

Hair frizzing?

I brush mine in the shower while I have conditioner in my hair

Maybe after showering you could use a leave in conditioner and then plait large sections of your hair, leave to dry over night and then loosen the plaits in the morning. You would then have nice toloused hair

How often is too often to straighten your hair?

My roommate is white and she straightens her between 3 and 5 times a day... Sometimes twice within 20-30 minutes. She uses a straightner called "Wet to Straight" or something like that. She washes her hair, but lets it air dry... and then like 3-4 hours comes back and blow drys it then straightens it again. I'm just curious if this is healthy, cuz I'm sure its not. I'm hoping that her hair will get really unhealthy and get really thin or something and look bad because she used my brush and left a bunch of hair in it and it really pissed me off. But honestly, in all seriousness, is this unhealthy?

How often is too often to straighten your hair?

This is madness! How does she get that much time, in the first place, to play with her hair so many times a day? Anyway, it's a surefire way to ruin one's hair.

How often is too often to straighten your hair?

yes its too much heat, in one day , the will have really bad split ends , will need to continually trim hair and good conditioner to keep healthy

How often is too often to straighten your hair?

This is veeery unhealthy for the hair.It is much too often.I used to straighten my hair once per day.I did this for one month and after that my hair looked very bad, burn and unhealthy.I used that straightener and I wasn't satisfied with my hair.Tell her to buy a straightener cream. It's very efficient.

How often is too often to straighten your hair?

Heat breacks your hair and cuases Splitends. You should relly flat iron your every week. Any more than that, you might as well perm your hair and have a wash and set. But yes that is very unhealthy and she is taking her hair for granted. She'll miss it when it's gone

How often is too often to straighten your hair?

OH MY! She seems to be a bit vain. . .Think of it this way. . .you're putting an iron on your hair. At the rate she does it, she is not just damaging her hair. SHE'S DEISTROYING IT! She shouldn't do it any more that 1-2 times max a week.

How often is too often to straighten your hair?

Your roommate is doing a little too much. too much heat will cause your hair to dry out and become dry, brittle and break off. Your only suppose to use heat type appliances no more than 2 times a week, and then add moisture to it. she is going to become really upset when she has to remove all the damage hair.
