well, I am going to tell you that it is all about the product. That is the most important thing. I have a lot of very fine hair but when its humid outside it gets frizzy. So, basically ihave ethnic hair. wht works for me is Kiwi products by artec. Use the shampoo and conditioner and put a blow serum on before flat ironing it. There is no way you can go natural w/o heat. I can't its nothin personal its just our hair is so defiant.

Hi there!! I have the same problem you have. I tried everything and nothing really worked and then my sister (Hairdresser) told me to bend over, flip my hair so it hangs down, then blow dry it till its dry, I mean really dry. Not only does it give you volume at the roots but it makes your hair as straight as you would have it with a straightener. Also before you dry it you can use some kind of straightening serum for your hair, helps with frizz and keeps your hair straight.

First of all you need a really good moisturizing conditioner. That will help with the poofy. Naturally curly hair hates blowdryers and heat. I straighten mine by adding a little conditioner and water to wet hair, comb through. Then I let my hair air dry 3\4 way. Pull back into a low ponytail or braid. When it is dry, undo the tail,and smooth on a little shine serum. Citre shine is good. Brush through and it should be pretty straight with a slight wave.
