How can i curl my hair?

My hair is really thin and whenever i try to curl it, i have to put a ton of hairspray on just one curl. and then after a few minutes all of the curls with a bunch of hairspray fall and get flat so my hair looks like i just ran through a bunch of bushes. and on top of that , i have a bunch of hairspray in my hair so it hurts when i try to brush it out. What should i do?

Use a curling shampoo and conditioner then when you get out of the shower, let your hair dry until its damp.

Run a quarter-sized amount of curling gel through your hair and:

1- set in small rollers with pins and allow to dry for a couple hours

or

2- wait until its completely dry and use a VERY small(so you dont lose the curl easily) curling iron, and do most of your hair, leaving the layers underneath straight, then spray with an aerosol hairspray(without much water in it)

btw- i have curly hair and will do anything to get rid of it!! not pretty curls either-cant believe some people want them. I'm soo jealous!

wash it, blow dry it straight and divide it into thin sections.

spray each section with curl activator like TREsemme curl activator and using hot curling iron, curl the sections each at a time until u finish the full head. separate the curls with ur fingers and spray with a good holding spray.

the result is bouncy, shiny curls which last long with no flyaways or frizz

I use this stuff by V05 called Curvaceous Curls. You can get it at Wal-Mart and it works really well. It's only $3, and all you have to do is wet your hair, apply the mousse, scrunch with your hands, blow dry it, and it's curly.

Maybe you should go to a salon or a cheap place like Great Clips or Fantastic Sams. They can give you advise as well as do your hair. Also, you could use Tresseme or John Frieda shampoos that you can find at Walgreens. Tresseme gives you salon quality hair and John Frieda starts your style in the shower. But, if you get the John Frieda make sure you get the style infusing shampoo, or something that tells that the style starts in the shower.

try some kind of curl formula or rollers if that doesnt work try curl wax or maybe your hair is too thin to hold heat.

I know this might sound ridiculous,but do you have a flat/straightening iron?

My cousin has the exact same problem, and I think her problem is they dont make curling irons with a barrell the proper size to do the section sizes she needs to make curls stay.

Instead,she uses a flat iron to curl her hair. I,personally, dont know how,because I have naturally curly hair, but you can google it.

you'd still have to use a lot of hairspray,but it could work!

also,make sure you do it in smallish sections.

if your doing it in too big of sections, the curls will become extremely lose (cause the hair is too heavy) and gravity will weigh it down, and it will lose the curl completely.

Wash your hair and blow dry the roots with head down to make it full in the roots. Put mousse on sections of dry hair and curl with whatever size curling iron you want to use. Use small sections at a time. When the mousse is dry, use fingers to separate. The curl will stay until you wash it out.
