i have the same hair you just described, it makes my hair so hot and my curls perfectly tamed and curled. absolutely no loose hairs

only brush your hair while in the shower right after using conditioner. if you brush it after, it'll get poofy

I have the same problem you could straighten you're hair or right after you come out of the shower put it in braids untill you leave the house.
