Hair: It's thick, wavy in places straight in others suggestions?

My hair is incredibly thick. I mean lions would envy this mane! It is wavy in places and straight in others. I air dry ...not enough waves to look right. I blow dry... ever heard the song "Cha Cha Cha Chia"! I don't have the time to straighten every day. The only thing with a curling brush is the length of time to dry my hair. I wondered if anyone knew of any products that would work well to wave what is not that way naturally. I love the wavy look but not with poker straight pieces mixed with it. Please help....I can't take the ponytail another minute! lol

First get in with a good hairdresser, who can shape your hair and make it easier to work with.

Then, use whatever products they suggest. My hair sounds like yours. I use a texturizer everyday.

omg my hair is hella thick too. what i do is take a shower and rub in frizz control and oil for my hair and then i blow dry it. then i straighten it. trust me it works. try it... crystal

You can have it chemically relaxed, but I recomend going to a reputable salon for that because its a harsh strong chemical that basically removes "body" from the hair. A more practical solution would be spray conditioner/detangler and a Chi (brand) straightening iron....they work miricales and heat up in like 10 seconds...so your issue of time to do it would no longer be an issue.

okay....first of all, is a "young girl with low self~esteem" a diss? yeah. And no, I do NOT have low self esteem FYI I just am very curious and am not afraid to express myself thank you very much. and by the way I am 15.
