Setting hair without heat?

What's the best hair product for sleeping in rollers? I have the ol' school pink rollers w/ pink foam. My hair is straight, thick and very heavy.

My problem...

I sleep in them and sprizt it all when it's styled in the morning and maybe one hour later it is completely straight except for a tiny lil' bend at the end of all my hair...

I have tried mousse, it went limp.

I have tried gel, to wet looking/cruchy.

I remember hearing about a certain type of product that was formulated for this type of styling. That you put in your hair when it's damp let it air dry and it makes it so your hair holds the curl, until you brush it all out or wash it out. Not necessarily a brand name though. Any imput would be great cause I would love to be able to take this shortcut for saving time in the morning.

The product I have been trying is called, "White Sands", it comes in light hold texture all the way to heavy texture hold... You can also spray it to dry hair %26amp; curl with a curling iron, your hair will keep it's shape... Try your local beauty supply...They might be able to order it for you..if not in stock..

wen you get out of the shower, sorta crunch ur hair up and hold it there for a bit. keep doing that and let your hair air dry. it should get curlier
