Need help with straight hair...?

i have long straight hair with long bangs, i mean stick straight. i use curling iron with styling brush to make my bangs and hair sort of wavy but it doesn't last very long. i tried my friends hairspray to help hold but it was really sticky and made my hair feel hard, like ewww. what can i do or use to help?

my sister is a hair dresser and i have the same problem.. try to spray your hair while curling it meaning while the curling iron is in your hair.. you shouldnt need to much spray so you shouldnt have that feeling of sticky.. hope it works for you . you could also try a little bit of mousse in your hair near the roots flipping your hair upside down to blow dry it that will give it some body without perment effects of a perm.

ure lucky! i have frizzy hair and wen i try 2 straight it keeps bcoming curly after 1 hour!

try curling stuff like sprays, shampoos or creams

You could get a perm and damage all your soft, fine, virgin hair. That would certainly add curl and body.

Or you could be happy with what most girls are paying hundreds of dollars to get and spending over an hour a day to achieve only to walk out side in the humidity and have it ruined.

There is always scrunch spray, and blow drying your hair upside down.. mouse in in your hair while its wet and then scrunch also works well.. But hey I like straight hair!! You prolly look really cute with it like that! : D

Before you go to bed braid your hair and then when you wake up in the morning, shake out the braids, spray and scrunch some sort of 'beach hair' product into it and your hair will be wavy! Or, you could get a wave put into it at the Hairdressers if you wanted something longer lasting?

frankly, I think that long straight hair looks good. if you want it curly you could get a perm. but if you just want some body in your hair you should try and train your hair to naturally wave. thats what i did and i love it. if that dosent work try curling your hair after you take a shower and sleep in curlers.

Well, I'd give anything to have stick straight hair, but when you get out of the shower, shake out your hair till it's mostly dry. Then put some curling mousse in it. Start with the bottom in the palm of your hand, then bring it up to the top of your part and squeeze. Hold it for about 5 seconds and see what you end up with. after you have tried this a few times, you should get your own teqnuiqe that is best for your hair.
