Cat Hair Everywhere!?

I have a very long haired indoor cat and her hair is everywhere! I bought a Dyson vacuum to assist, sold my old furniture and purchased leather however, I don閳ユ獩 see any difference. I don閳ユ獩 know what to do anymore. I will never give her away but, now I閳ユ獡 seeking all of your assistance and advise.

I try to brush her and she can閳ユ獩 stand. She gets all mad at me and runs away.

Help!

Cat Hair Everywhere!?

Take her to the vet and have her strip-clipped. I do this with my cats several times a year. We used to have a "hairy" problem --BUT NO MORE!! The hair will grow back. Your cat will be very beautiful. And when you notice hair shedding again...that's when you'll know to go have kitty shaved again. You can choose how short you want it. We have ours shaved about 1/4 inch. Make sure you tell the vet you want the head, feet, and tail shaved too...or he'll leave the hair long on those parts. **The cat will look silly that way.**

Also--go get yourself some of those Carpet Flick refills. They are the stickiest stuff on the market! Use them by themselves (without the carpet flick unit) and run them over your furniture or wherever hair has acumulated. They are better than any lint roller I've ever had!!!

GOOD LUCK!

GOOD QUESTION!

Cat Hair Everywhere!?

Invest in some lint rollers....lots of em.

Cat Hair Everywhere!?

yea thts wut i was gonna say

Cat Hair Everywhere!?

My cat likes me to massage him with the sticky rollers that are meant to take hair out of clothes. Not sticky enough to pluck his hair, just the dead hair. He enjoys it, amybe give it a try.

Cat Hair Everywhere!?

Try brushing her thoroughly everyday, that will help alot

Cat Hair Everywhere!?

Dyson = overpriced crap.

Get a Kenmore upright for $299.

Best vacuum I ever bought.

Cat Hair Everywhere!?

Use an Armour hammer pet deodorizer that also helps the static in pet hair be easily removed with out being it being a problem. as for to try to get the cat to stop shedding good luck my BF and I can not get dressed till we leave the house with out it sticking to us. and I have a short hair cat. other wise try the lint roller on your cat it will get most of the hair of that is dead/loose. You will never cure this problem.,

Cat Hair Everywhere!?

I brush my cats twice a week and that helps a lot.

Cat Hair Everywhere!?

Get her the best quality food that you can. Nutrition has a lot to do with shedding. Talk to your vet, but Science Diet is probably the way to go if you can't get into the higher priced brands.

You have to get the cat on a regular grooming routine. You just have to do a little at a time. Use a fine toothed comb, it will get the undercoat out better. You don't have to spend all this crazy money on these stupid shedding combs that are metal and hurt the cat anyway (besides it's just a clipper guard off of normal hair clippers on a stick anyhow). I have plenty of success with a 10 cent fine toothed plastic comb.

When I got my cats as kittens , I immediately started them on a regular bathing/grooming routine. They love it now. They wait for me in the bath tub when they know I'm getting ready to take my shower. They also sit still for the blow dryer and purr the whole time they are getting combed. They also only get Science Diet wet food, which ensures that they are getting a high nutritional value in the diet, according to the vet.

So, with time and patience you and your cat will do fine. Just start small. I would definitely change the food though if you aren't giving Science Diet or even Iams. Then just try one or two passes with a comb every couple hours. Then the cat will get used to the feeling of it and become more receptive to grooming.

Good luck to you!
