It's summertime. What is probably happening is your dog is "Blowing his Coat" - he is getting rid of his extra hair so he won't get too hot this summer. When winter comes, he'll grow another extra thick coat so he'll stay warm.

Nothing to worry about, but keep brushing so he doesn't get matted up. Hair loss is normal as long as he doesn't get bald or scruffy looking patches.

what kind of dog..? Shedding is normal..a good diet can also help reduce shedding...NOT IAMS OR EUKANUBA. TRY NUTRO OR Artemis OR WELLNESS

He's shedding because its summer and hes getting rid of his winter coat.

Huskies don't shed that much when they live in COLD weather.

Huskies will shed a lot all year round if it's an indoor dog, and more in the Spring. They and Malamutes are THE heaviest shedders in the world.

Make sure you are feeding a good quality food. I like Nutro - it has no "by products" and is reasonably priced. Have your vet check for intestinal worms - they can cause shedding.

Don't bathe him too often - no more than once every six months unless he's rolled in something. When you do, use cool water. Warm or hot water baths make them shed more.

Also, get shedding blade from the pet store - it's a mini version of the kind they use on horses. That will take out a lot of the loose hair - but do it outside!!!

Other than that, just get a Dyson vacuum. You can also get a special brush that attaches to a vacuum so that the hair won't fly everywhere.
