Is getting your hair stripped bad??

iv been dying my hair (at home) for years. i started by bleaching it all over but didnt want to keep that so i started to grow it out but after 6 weeks i couldnt bare it any more and dye it agein- red

i then continued to dye it red for about 2 years and recently got fed up and pissed off so dye it black!

im really fed up with havving to dye it so concided getting it stripped like a friend said. however, i dont know much about it but iv heared it really bad!

i wanted to get it stripped then start getting it dyed at a salon blonde by lots of highlights going through it instead of an all over colour.

my hair has always been abit fine and sometimes breacks quite easly (well a few hairs come out when i brush/ wash or style it) im natrually a dirty blond.

i getting it stripped them dye a good or bad idear? how does stripping work? is it really bad for your hair? and is it expensive???

uh, yes, very bad actually.

if it NEEDS to be done, go for it, but your hair will be damaged for quite some time %26amp; cuold fall out, break off.

I know it sucks, but maybe start putting light hi-lites in it for now to gradually get it lighter or start growing it out.

Basically when you strip the hair, your pulling all the color out of your hair shaft, leaving it dry %26amp; brittle. =( NO GOOD!

Stripping your hair will bleach out all of the artificial color, but sometimes it can take some of your natural color too. I would have it done at a salon by a pro. This is something that you do not want to screw up.

Stripping your hair basically means to bleach it. When you strip your hair after it's dyed black it will turn it orange. I've done it. I would recommend going to a saoln to get the color changed. It would be a lot more expensive but the results will turn out better. Yes stripping your hair is bad but also so is dying it a lot. Especailly black.
