I have thin, golden blonde hair that reaches
down almost to my waist. I don't have any
bangs or layers or anything. I want my hair
to have more volume, so I use volumizing
shampoo and conditioner, a volumizing
brush, and I even blow dry my hair upside
down! But none of this works. Does anyone
have any idea how to make my hair have
more volume??? Do you think getting layers
would help? I also have another question: I
know that putting hot air on your hair every
day dries it out and is bad for it, but is it the
same with cold air? I like to blow dry my hair
every day, but I don't want to ruin it. If I put
the hairdryer on cold, will it not ruin my hair?
THANKS SO MUCH!
Question on my HAIR?!?!?!?
theres no volume because its too thin to be that long. consider cutting off a few inches and maybe some long layers. i use a volumizer and let mine air dry for a bit. then i blow dry. i also recommend regular trims every 6-8 weeks. that way your shape will hold and any split ends will be cut off. go to a salon and get a consultation. you can discuss your concerns and get some professional ideas. good luck.
Question on my HAIR?!?!?!?
well i have the same problem... layers helps though you could try that. keep doing what your doing and ask your hairdresser on what hairstyle to give you and on some products. as for the hot air blow dryer thing i dont know.
Question on my HAIR?!?!?!?
yes layer could help also you could curl your hair often but that may also damage your hair though.i don't know that blow drying your hair on cold will not make your hairhealthy but i think it is less damaging than the hot setting.hope that helps!
Question on my HAIR?!?!?!?
When it comes to the hairdryer...if you must use it then yes put it on cold...heat is the worse thing for your hair. As for getting more volume out of your hair...I would consider getting layers and possibly using hot curlers, just to add a little wave to it. Just make sure you use the once that are larger so that your curls aren't to kinky. I would also try cutting my hair a bit shorter so that your hair isn't so weighed down. Good luck and I hope this helps!!!
Question on my HAIR?!?!?!?
OF COURSE!!
LAYERS would be perfect for you to get maximum volume!
Start your layers around either your chin or just below your eyes, and cut just a bit of the length off.
Or you could go with a scene sort of haircut.. like:

as you can see, these girls have more volume than just leaving their hair straight and down and flat..
idk.. it's up to you!
also, yes! Cold air is a lot better on your hair.. however it is still air that is drying out your hair. So, in order to achieve the "no frizzies" that nobody wants, just continue to condition it! If you do not condition your hair, be sure to do this every single time you wash it!
You can also teezz your hair at just the top once in a while for some more volume.. however it is a bit hard on your hair.. so , if you would rather, try blow drying it upside down .. WORKS!!
have funn!

Question on my HAIR?!?!?!?
You probably looove your long hair and hate to hear this but cutting it will take weight off that is holding the roots down at your head. You can keep it long but about 4 inches off will make a big difference. Layers will help but make sure your stylist understands that you want long layers. Then dry with your head flipped upside down and make sure the roots are dry before standing back upright. Body Double by Sebastian (available in salons) is the best volumizing line I've seen in 11 years as a stylist. It does leave your texture more coarse but your hair will have much more body! As to the dryer, a cool dryer does reduce damage and closes the cuticle to set your style better as well as reducing frizz and increasing shine. It's a good move. If you're going to set your hair regularly, use steam rollers for less damage. Fine, thin hair is substantially more fragile and prone to splits and breaking than other types of hair.
