Keeping hair big?!?

Ok i am 19 years old but i want to keep my hair really big like back in the 80's people had because it really suits my face.

Everytime i wash my hair and blow dry it (but not comb or brush it) it looks really big but later it ends up going flat...how can i avoid it going flat?

i have hair thickening spray should i use it?

though my hair is naturally thick.

ok there are many ways to keep your hair big u can either tease it and that will last the whole day if u add hair spray or there is a product called root boost made by catwalk/tigi it works great if u want to know more my aim screenname is stringxbean21

try using a volumizing hair mousse

blow dry your hair upside down,

and use a toothbrush to back comb!! it has to be as firm as you can get!

i don't know if you can buy hard/firm toothbrushes anymore :( i cant find any where i live.. but don't go for the softs..

use that on your hair and it will give a way better look.

also don't try and using TONS of hair spray cause i think it just weighs down the hair, try spraying it sorta far away, and undermeath your hair (hold it straight up, then spray at the roots) and that will add more volume too
