Losing hair only from the back?

I am a guy with surfrer like longish hair and the hair at the back curl outwards. I often notice that the hair often comes off and always find hair on the back of my shirt. I hardly lose any hair from the front or sides. Even when i brush my hair, i dont see any hair in the brush. Why am i only lsoing hair from the back? Is it because my hair is long ? please reply...

Losing hair only from the back?

Yeah i guess it's maybe beacause you have long hair since most people tend to lose their hair on top. Maybe you should try a different hairstyle.

Losing hair only from the back?

You should go to a dermatologist for a scalp analysis. you are asking for a diagnosis. We have no way of doing that for you. Good luck.

Losing hair only from the back?

falling hair there are some problems, it has a few causes like : The generation, not enough of vitamin and shampoos too if it is not the good quality or if it is serious then you should go to see the doctor who would know how to treat it. and its falling at the back becuse you dont wash your hair propley at the back its hard the wash it at the back so good luck!

Hair thinning?

im only 15ish, and ive noticed that my hair is coming out in handfuls everytime i wash or brush it, and its ALWAYS all over my clothes. I used to have thick, wavy hair, and now its gotten really thin. i don't know if cutting it is the solution, or if stop using elastics in it. also, does dying your hair affect it, because ive kind of died mine 12 times in the last 5 years. im just worried that im going to wake up bald one morning !

Hair thinning?

A lot of things can make your start falling out among them are chemically over treated har nervousness and hormone imbalances. try laying off the hair dye for awhile and if it doesn't improve go to the dr. and find out if there is another problem Good Luck

Hair thinning?

Yes, Dying, perming and additional chemical may hurt/damages your hair folicals.

Stop messing with it.

Also, are you starving yourself ?

are you super overweight ?

Are you eating balance diets ?

Are you taking illegal drugs ?

Hair thinning?

STOP dying it and dont use elastics it hurts your hair and makes it fall out...

Why do highlight make your hair knotty when its been washed?

When I brush the conditioner through my hair is knotty, why do hightlights do this?

Why do highlight make your hair knotty when its been washed?

because the highlights are bleach, which completely dries out your hair, making it knotty because it is so dry. :)

Why do highlight make your hair knotty when its been washed?

Because the bleach in the highlights damages your hair, making it thinner and more brittle. Fine hair is more likely to knot up than coarse.

Why do highlight make your hair knotty when its been washed?

Highlights could be the cause of it, because of the chemicals they have to use on your hair when they highlight your hair. And they knot, because the texture of the hair that is highlighted is now different from the hair that hasn't been highlighted.

Why do highlight make your hair knotty when its been washed?

Hi beaauce even thought it might not look it when you have dried it, the hair is damaged and the cuticle has been weakend by the bleach, in somecases it even falls out, I highlighted my hair and as soon as I brushed my hair when wet there was loads of blonde hair on the brush.

Its also not good to brush your hair when went or to get the conditoner though, try using a reconstructer conditoner too to repair the damaged hair it will then become easier to brush.

Why do highlight make your hair knotty when its been washed?

bcoz the bleach in your highlights dry out so your hairs all dry and knotty :(

Why do highlight make your hair knotty when its been washed?

when you get highlights your hair is bleached. bleach strips your hair of the oils it needs and is very drying. use john frieda conditioner in the shower. it will help to moisturize your hair and reduce the tangles

Why do highlight make your hair knotty when its been washed?

Because your hair isnt as smooth and silk as it use to be as the bleach dried it out.

Worried!!!! About Cat Losing Hair??

Saturday my husband and I adopted a cat, Solo, from an animal shelter. He is a 1 yr old neutered male. He wasn閳ユ獩 declawed and we wanted to keep our furniture and ourselves safe, so we instantly put soft claws on him, like as soon as we got home and took him out of the crate we put them on him. That way everything would be safe and he wouldn閳ユ獩 worry about them because he would be 閳ユxploring閳?his new home. Last night I noticed there to be some hair, looks like it was pulled out or bitten out, all over our living room rug. I just assumed that our cat, Jabba, was showing Solo who was boss. Jabba wears soft claws, so they can閳ユ獩 hurt one another. Well earlier today, while Jabba was sleeping upstairs, Solo was alone in the living room, with the freshly vacuumed rug and I found the same patches of hair on the rug. I have brushed him with a good brush and checked him over, he doesn閳ユ獩 have fleas and his skin looks 閳ユΕormal閳? The only different thing is that he is wearing the soft claws, on all his toes, and he is wearing a collar, all of which he has never wore before. Is the 閳ユ笁air lose閳?a sigh of something more or is it just a combination of the claws and the collar and maybe the stress of changing homes?? Should I be worried? Should I call the vet and ask in the morning??? Or just give it some time and see if he continues to do it?

Side note: Its not the food, he eats really good food here and I know for a fact they fed them really good food at the shelter as well. He has had all of his shots and is in good health. And he has adjusted to the change extremely well.

Worried!!!! About Cat Losing Hair??

It could be stress (from the change in environment and adjustment) that could be causing the over-shedding of fur. That the weather is getting warmer may also be a factor. When the weather turns is when cats normally shed. The stress of adjusting to new (even better) living conditions may be aggravating the normal process. But this is just a guess. Also, I am sure that your are feeding good food to your pets. But consider also that many cats and dogs are allergic to grains and grain products - even meats like beef. Just as an experiment, why not feed this kitty a grainless cat food or a cat food specifically for allergic cats = as I mentiones, foods without grains (that rules out a lot of dry kibble!) but with more "exotic" animal proteins like venison, rabbit, lamb and duck. If it is stress, try some "Rescue Remedy" or "Feliway." These producst are supposed to help calm cats is stressful situations.

By the way, I am sooooo glad that you put "Soft Paws" on your kitties instead of having them declawed. Good on you!

Worried!!!! About Cat Losing Hair??

its nothing to do with the soft claws. allergies that cause fur loss do not happen this quickly and soft claws will not poison your cats.

he is probably just malting a little bit more due to the stress of moving house as well as another cat in the house.

what breed is he? some malt more than others.

.

Worried!!!! About Cat Losing Hair??

I've had cats all my life and it sounds like spring-time warm-weather shedding to me.. my bed is COVERED with cat hair.. not only single hairs, but clumps... and it's normal.. I hope that helps you

Worried!!!! About Cat Losing Hair??

For peace of mind and for the cat's health, please take him to the vet. I have three cats: male 11yrs, male 7yrs, female 5yrs, there is always loose fur, they will get into little scuffles with each other, or as their playing gets out of hand. The oldest will develop a bald spot (about the size of a penny, on his back/tops of his "shoulders" about 2-3 times/year). The vet says that that is most likely allergies, and it has always cleared itself up, but I was extremely concerned when I first noticed it and wish that I went to the vet sooner to spare myself all of the worry. I'm leaning towards stress being the culprit in your situation. I have also heard stories about "soft-claws" actually making the cat have to scratch harder and more frequently where they want to, thereby causing clumps of fur or other skin irritations to develop and/or persist due to not being able to scratch/groom themselves properly. Please see a vet and post back, good luck.

Worried!!!! About Cat Losing Hair??

It's spring and the stress of a new home, it's likely that the cat is shedding.

Worried!!!! About Cat Losing Hair??

I completely agree with the person(people) who gave you kudos for not declawing your cats, but using Soft Paws instead!! I wish others treated their cats with as much respect as you do. As for your question, you should certainly ask your vet, but it probably is allergies or just the stress of all the change your kitty has been through recently. Good luck!!

Blood and Hair?

Hey guys, have a quick question for you. I was standing outside and someone came up behind me and brushed the side of my hair with their face, like they were the same height as me and he ran into me. When I looked at him, he had blood on his face. I think some of his blood got in my hair. I am freaking out. What should I do? Can HIV or Hep be in my hair? Should I cut out the area that he ran into? Will a simple shower get rid of it all? Please let me know, I'm freaking out.

Thanks

Blood and Hair?

While both of those diseases can be transferred through blood, if you don't have a cut or open wound on your head the chances are minuscule. Rinse the blood off your head without getting it anywhere else on you. Take a plastic bag, hold it in front of your face at the scalp line, and turn your head under the faucet in the sink to rinse your hair. Don't touch the blood if you don't have to, let the water rinse the blood from your head, continue rinsing until you don't see anything but clear water running from your head. You can even put plastic bags on your hands, or wear rubber gloves if you are concerned about the blood on your hands. Then, wash your hair, but don't dig into your scalp with your nails or you might scratch your head which would make an open wound, just in case any blood is still there. If you are unsure about having a cut, see your doctor. Chances are, everything is fine. Good Luck.

Blood and Hair?

wash your hair with gloves in a sink and all will be ok

Blood and Hair?

i really wouldn't worry unless you have an open wound on your hair. LoL just take a shower or just wash your hair in the sink so non of the blood will get on other parts of your body

Blood and Hair?

weird! but yes you could becouse the blood if it does have any infections or anything can travel threw your scalp and flow threw your blood. so i hope you wash it out right away.

Blood and Hair?

only of u have open cuts on your head will u become infected...

Blood and Hair?

Unless you have a cut or scrape on your head you should be fine. just make sure when you wash it out you dont touch any blood. The blood can't "soak" into your hair and get into your body that way. If it was like that, everyone would get all kinds of germs in their hair and a lot of people would be sick!

Blood and Hair?

Your second answer is good.....don't worry about it dude, you're cool.

Im going out to ice skate tonight and i dont know how to do my hair. Im a girl?

blonde hair, half curly (underlayers are curly) half is staright(above layers) about shoulder lenght have multi function banges/sidebanges

i have:

curler

straightener

hair dyrer

los of brushes

clips

bobby pins

plz help. i want to look good bc my crush will be there

Im going out to ice skate tonight and i dont know how to do my hair. Im a girl?

i think you should do a puff! take your bangs and the middle section of your hair and poof it up and pin it back. spray that area with hairspray so it turns into a puff and it'lll look so cute! then for the rest of your hair, curl it slightly and give it cute waves. don't forget wearing eyeshadow! wear a color that will bring out the color of your eyes. and mascara is a MUST! :) eyeliner is good too. then put on a nice nude shiny layer of lipgloss + a little powder and your good to go. have fun!

Im going out to ice skate tonight and i dont know how to do my hair. Im a girl?

Do the front like your avatar and straigthen the rest and leave it down. For ice skating, it's better not to have all your hair in the face so you don't see anything.

Im going out to ice skate tonight and i dont know how to do my hair. Im a girl?

A messy bun with side bangs looks great!!!

Im going out to ice skate tonight and i dont know how to do my hair. Im a girl?

If i were you i would keep my hair down but then put a headband in. Just slip the headband in the middle of your hair. It looks awesome!

Im going out to ice skate tonight and i dont know how to do my hair. Im a girl?

try straightening your underlayers, then put all of your hair into a ponytail and pin it up using bobby pins.... (i've done that before) and then use a matching scrunchie to put around it for "decoration"...

good luck with your crush!!!

Im going out to ice skate tonight and i dont know how to do my hair. Im a girl?

Hey where are you going ice skating tonight? It kinda sounds like you might be going where I'm going... Anyway to answer your question.

I would do-

All perfectly straight, this style always looks super hot!

Really loose big curls- usually you can get this by using your curling iron then very lightly straightening the curls.

Or really tight curls and straight side bangs. (I really like this one)

Good Luck!!!!

Im going out to ice skate tonight and i dont know how to do my hair. Im a girl?

Well, put it in a ponytail----otherwise it will fly in your face while skating, or be mashed by a hat anyway!

Just find a hat you look really cute in, and forget the hair.

Im going out to ice skate tonight and i dont know how to do my hair. Im a girl?

i say go with a messy bun and leave your side bangs out. it you dont put it up, your will go crazy from all the wind from ice skating. have fun!

Im going out to ice skate tonight and i dont know how to do my hair. Im a girl?

because you are ice skating, id probably do a half up, half down... you want to see what your doing, so try to pin some up so its not all over in your eyes while your skating, but the length will still be there to blow around while you skate... itll be pretty and so will you!! have fun and good luck!!

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

My hair has a massive amount of broken hairs and split ends from ripping through it with a brush as a kid. My hair is also oily at the roots, but i don't want to dry it out too much because its not very moisturized at the tips. Lastly, my hair is very frizz-prone. I can't air-dry my hair or else i get an afro (not a pleasent site), but my hair is very damaged from the heat of blow-drying. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!

What i do to take care of my hair already:

-wash hair with Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Frizz Control shampoo and conditioner (i just switched from damage repairing to frizz control recently)

-comb conditioner through hair with fingers/leave in for 3 min/wash out

-put Redken Guts 10 mouse in hair/comb through hair with wide-toothed comb

-blow dry

-straighten (my hair is naturally straight but my hair curls up slightly at the ends/my side-bangs always wave)

PLEASE HELP!!!

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

OK....here's what I suggest since you straighten your hair.

I'm not a big fan of Pantene products but if they are working for then stick with it but I find they tend to dry out my hair. I like Paul Mitchell Super Skinny to help smooth out damaged areas. I'm also a huge fan of FrizzEase. When applied correctly (on wet hair before anything else using a good bit of the product) it works great! It's great for straightening because it doesn't let your hair react to humidity which is why your hair waves back up after straightening. I use the orange one for heat protection and if there's a Big Lots in your area go there first to get the FrizzEase Hair Serum. Last time I went they have it for $2.50 and a pack of two for $4...this stuff sells for $7+ at walmart. I also use the finishing cream for my bangs and when I pull my hair up because it smoothes out the fly-aways and doesn't flake or get hard like hair spray. But only use a pea-sized amout or it will make your hair go flat...really flat! Also found that Sunsilk De-Frizz is working pretty good...I'm still on my first bottles of that but so far I'm satisfied...and it's much cheaper than the Super Skinny but that stuff is worth it!

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

OK. start by taking a break from all the heat! i know you said that you're hair poofs when you let it air dry, but even just a week of no heat will help. just put it up in pig tails or a pony (pigtails seem babyish, but if you them right, they can look totally stylish). then, buy a deep conditioner (neutrogena makes a great one) and do that once a week. then keep using the frizz control shampoo/conditioner but other than that, no product. just let your hair take a breather. it will begin to look and feel better in no time!

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

try leaving some of your conditioner in your hair all the time. i know it sounds strange, but try it on the ends. it will help moisturize them and protect them from heat. do not leave it on your roots if they are oily though. just give it a try and it should help. i have really frizzy curly, and it helps my frizz calm down totally!!

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

okay okay!

try:

Dove's Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

Garnier's deep conditioning treatment once or twice a week.

Victoria's Secret So Sexy Straightening Balm. it works amazingly, and has thermal protection, so even after you blow dry and straighten, your hair is silky smooth.

i use all three. and i have the same hair issues as you! but, you might want to get your ends trimmed.

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

Since you hair is damaged... you need to get it cut because you cant bring hair back to life. Since you hair is very oily drink 8 glasses of water a day, if you wash your hair every other day or more than that, try washing your hair more. Switch to dove shampoo and conditioner. When and if you do i recommed getting a bob. Its cute and in style and it would get rid of the damaged hair and all you need to do to keep it looking great is a rould(barrel) brush and a blow dryer.

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

You should get the ends of your hair cut. Just get a trim to help it look healthier. You hair sounds like it is long, so maybe you should get it cut shoulder length, if it's not there already. Another thing, don't use Pantene, it's not good for your hair. I used to use it myself, but I've found that Aussie is a whole lot better and it's not expensive.

You should also get a serum to protect the ends of your hair, it will help greatly. I would recommend Biologe, you usually find it at a salon, but it's worth the money cause it works and lasts awhile.

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

put some vegetable oil on your hair, cover it up with a shower cap, and wait for abour 45 mins. you`ll have smooth and better hair !

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

STOP! o.k. now first... go to the salon and get the dry ends cut off. It doesn't matter if it will be too short... hair grows fast, especially healthy hair. Now, this is tougher, find yourself a good old fashioned brush. Not one of those hard bristled, rounded ended things. a good soft brush. I have one that does a 1/2 spiral, but any soft bristled brush will work. Then, seriously, part your hair in half. so you have 1/2 on the right side and 1/2 on the left. Now, bush the right side for 50 strokes. if you have trouble with knots, work them out slowly with your fingers by pulling only a few strands at a time out of the knot. keep brushing by starting at the very top of the part and finishing all the way down to the end. this will bring the oils from your head down to the ends where they are dry. repeat this procedure on the left side. remember... don't pull out your hair! Keep this up for at least a week before giving up, you will see improvement. for the poof... I swear by Sunsilk hairapy antipoof (the blue bottle). make sure you put this on while your hair is still wet or it will make it look greasy.

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

1) Use head and shoulders for oily hair-this will take all the greece out of your hair but still keep it healthy looking.

2) Make sure to condition the ends of your hair very well- or get stay in conditionar.

3) Trim all the dead ends off your hair- get a good 2 inches off the bottem of your hair.

4) When blow drying your hair use a brush to calm down your frizzyness.

5) Get some smoothing hair products or use moose/hairspray to spray down your fly away hair.

6) Straighten your hair- this will keep it smooth and under control.

Hope this helps :D

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

Don't straighten your hair. Egg whites, oil massages can improve your hair. More home remedies available at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/dryhair.html

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

Stop straightening your hair, it might not look good without straightening, but straightening causes frizz. You do not have to dump straightening your hair completely. Just stop doing it for a week or less until your hair looks healthy to your desire.

I don't know if you can, but if you go to a salon buy Bio Silk, it moisturizes your hair, but it will give a oily look if you add to much.

Don't comb your hair with your fingers, I suggest a comb that has fine long bristles.

Do not blow dry your hair, at least for a while, it also causes frizz. :3
