Straightning brush?

when i whent to boots today i saw this babyliss straightning brush.when you blow dry your hair its ment to help straighten it and help stop your hair going frizzy.

do straightning brushs make a difffrent when blow drying your hair straight.would it make my hair like very straight useing the straighting brush and a straightner after.

Straightning brush?

I blow dry my hair straight every morning, If I didn't I would look like a poodle. The trick is to not use a brush or anything till your hair is ALMOST dry...then take a regular brush (I like the plastic ones with vents) and work on each section at a time, once you get used to it you should only take about 15 minutes to dry your hair (my hair is 1/2 way down my back) Flat irons help when the humidity is high, but shouldn't be used all the time, they will damage your hair.

Also think about the hair products you are using, I use two different products on my hair. I use Bio-Silk while my hair is still wet then when it gets almost dry I put in Sun Silk's Straighting Cream.

I hope this helps.

Straightning brush?

Umm well I think I've had one of those before and it helped but it took me FOREVER to dry my hair and straighten it. My mom had to help and it still came out frizzy. If you want your hair straight I would recommend a straightener. It takes out frizz and it makes hair STRAIGHT. I use remington wet 2 straight and it works wonderfully.

I had compliments on ihow straight my hair was the first time I used it.

Straightning brush?

All you need is a pair of beutiful GHD's and you will be sorted! These straightening brushes are only gimmicks!

Straightning brush?

Yes they work the key to it is to let the heat get on the medal part of the brush as you pull it through your hair. You may want to make sure you use product to protect your hair as the heat can damage it in time.

Straightning brush?

YES! It will work good, the blow dryer heats it up and it works just like a straightner although a hot straightener always works too. Yes, if u want ur hair REALLY straight then use both of them

Straightning brush?

they dont work its just another one of those schemes to get money out of you and fool you into thinking that these things actually work!

Straightning brush?

Do you think any hairdresser worth their salt would ever use something like this? Nope... your hair is as important as any outfit so you should do the best thing. Simply blow dry and then straighten using normal hair straighteners and a comb.

Those styling brush things just frizz up your hair and take years to dry it

Straightning brush?

Curls are sexy. Enough with the straightening crap. Flat hair is for Asian girls.

Straightning brush?

I Straighten my hair with my blow dryer and a brush and of course Garnier fructis straightening balm. Those brushes don't work i had one it just made my hair frizzier.

Straightning brush?

No, I bought one and I still need to use straightners after so I flogged it on eBay.

Remington Wet 2 Dry are good, but I am thinking about getting GHDs, I tried some out at my sisters and they were better. I found these for 鎷?5 which is about the cheapest I've found. (Not the wide plate ones tho - which you might need if you have longer hair):

http://www.powderpuff.net/

Straightning brush?

Try the babyliss b-liss hair dryer that will straighten your hair as you blow dry. You can buy it from Argos for bout 鎷?0.

Straightning brush?

As you brush, place the nozzle of the dryer near the brush and move both down at same time, add a serum to protect hair from frizz.

Setting hair without heat?

What's the best hair product for sleeping in rollers? I have the ol' school pink rollers w/ pink foam. My hair is straight, thick and very heavy.

My problem...

I sleep in them and sprizt it all when it's styled in the morning and maybe one hour later it is completely straight except for a tiny lil' bend at the end of all my hair...

I have tried mousse, it went limp.

I have tried gel, to wet looking/cruchy.

I remember hearing about a certain type of product that was formulated for this type of styling. That you put in your hair when it's damp let it air dry and it makes it so your hair holds the curl, until you brush it all out or wash it out. Not necessarily a brand name though. Any imput would be great cause I would love to be able to take this shortcut for saving time in the morning.

Thanks!

Setting hair without heat?

The product I have been trying is called, "White Sands", it comes in light hold texture all the way to heavy texture hold... You can also spray it to dry hair %26amp; curl with a curling iron, your hair will keep it's shape... Try your local beauty supply...They might be able to order it for you..if not in stock..

Setting hair without heat?

wen you get out of the shower, sorta crunch ur hair up and hold it there for a bit. keep doing that and let your hair air dry. it should get curlier

Setting hair without heat?

get a loose perm!

Ughh my hair?

my hair is naturally a mess.

it's a extremely curly some places and just a little curly others and really nappy on the crown but the front of my hair stays straight.

so needless to say my hair is more than difficult.

i've tried conair anti-poof

and frizz-eeze

i've tried straightening gel and leave-in coditioners

i've used a round ceramic chi brush

which all helps "straighten my hair" but it's still poffy after blow drying it.

i also have a chi straightener that i end up using after blow drying it even though i know how it's bad for my hair.

and the straightener still doesn't work as good as i'd like.

i usually go to get my hair done but when i go swimming or when it rains i have to do it myself.

can someone please please help me!?

Ughh my hair?

round brushes suck..i hate them. chi = crap. you just pay for the name.. you do use a straight pik while u blow dry correct? ok..clearly by your avatar you are not caucasian which means the ppl above are crazy talkin about herbal essense n pantene. well you can scrunch it %26amp; will look just fine but you want it straight..for ethnic hair which is stubborn you have to turn up the heat. divide ur hair into 4 sections..%26amp; take 1 inch partings %26amp; use proclaim heat protectant comb the strand %26amp; then flat iron it go over it twice if u want. if u have the heat higher the less time the heat has to be on it..%26amp; everyone thinks turning up the heat to high is such a crime. neways try to use the proclaim cholesterol..after u wash ur hair n then dry it %26amp; flat iron. %26amp; when u are finished maybe use the glossing shine (proclaim) n rub a tiny bit on ur hair.

Ughh my hair?

Blow drying may make it worse?

Ughh my hair?

idk sorry my hairs frizzy 2!!

Ughh my hair?

Why aren't you trying to get your hair to stay curly instead of forcing, and failing, to get it to go straight?

What you should do is: shampoo and condition with Herbal Essences the one for curly hair, or the moisturizing one

They also have a hair serum to make your hair nice and shiny

Scrunch your hair with curling gel or mousse, work into the curls with your fingers

It doesn't have to look perfect, just a little messy enough to look totally hot!

Ughh my hair?

so it wont get poofy while it dries, use a wide tooth comb. To straighten, use a flat iron spray and for frizzy hair use a creme (sunsilk straightening 24/7 creme)

It works for me!

Ughh my hair?

T_T i have that same problem....but i havent tryed those products yet...i think i just might try em...

Ughh my hair?

Its all about that oil sheen, I spray some on after I blow dry, before I flat iron. Not only does it work great for my frizz, but it is cheaper too, also love smooth n shine polishing serum, put some on when it is still wet.

Ughh my hair?

I have those problems too. Mainly what I do is wash my hair w/ shampoo %26amp; CONDITIONER %26amp; let it dry by itself. (if you're in a rush try washing the night before). Then i straighten it w/ a flat iron. (make sure to turn the heat up high - this is where the conditioner helps). If you don't want to straighten it try curling the flat parts - curling iron, hot rollers, or the ones you have to sleep in all work good for me. If it's a total mess try a messy bun or ponytail - it can actually look really good it you don't try too hard!

Ughh my hair?

Okay... so you make it seem like you Relax your hair, by the way you're constantly trying to keep it straight. Well, my sister got a relaxer and she has to wrap it a lot. She uses my hair conditioners and shampoo's too which range from

Panteene

Herbel Essence (Non of your Frizzeness)

Herbel Essence (The purple Curling kind)

Garnie Fructics

Those do a lot taming her hair on rainy days. she leaves it wet sometimes when she wraps it though, and when she wakes ups it's still straight so all she has to do is go over it when the Flat Iron. She uses oils such as The shine from Garnie Fructics it's in the clear pump bottle. The Hair sheen from Panteene. My leave in coconut oil conditioner, and that green bottled olive oil. They sell all of these at Wal-Mart.

I'm a naturally curly/Wavy and own an entirely different head of hair than my sister. I've never touched a Relaxer, so I have to deal with Frizz no matter what. I leave in a lot of conditioners and when I want my hair super easy to manage I shampoo it with Baking Soda (Not a lot) and I condition it with Downy fabric softener. It works Miracles, like having your baby hair all over again! Lol.

Well I hope this helps, just use light sheens that make your hair shine because heavy oild ones like grease just sit on your hair and make pieces clump so that even though it's straight it's not soft and adoring like you want. Use it if you have too though. It reduces frizz. On Rainy days it's impossible for me not to frizz so I just wear my hair curly or it will just curl up when I walk outside. Then swimming of course your entire head is wet so you'll have to repeat the straightening process. After I swim I don't brush my hair, I wash it and leave the conditioner in all night. Even though it says rinse, it doesn't harm you if you don't blow dry it or straighten in with a non leave in conditioner. The next day I rewash it but only with Conditioner, NOT shampoo. You don't want to dry out your natural oils! Lol. Then I go straighten it.

What to do with unhealthy hair?

I have very long hair and unfortunately, they are very destroyed at the ends. I make blonde highlights twice a year. I use hair-dryer only in urgent cases (one or twice a month). I wash it every day. What should I do to make them healthier? SHould I use comb or brush if they are difficult to comb?

What to do with unhealthy hair?

Okay... number one, if you don't have to, don't wash your hair everyday. Many people over wash their hair which strips out the natural oils your scalp produces.

Number two, when you -do- wash your hair, use a moisturizing shampoo (even better, one meant for color-treated hair). Biolage is excellent. A cheaper option, which is just as good is Bioterra at Sally Beauty Supply (it's on sale during the month of February). Your conditioner should also be meant for color treated hair because at times it can strip color.

Once a week, you should use a deep conditioner. What's the difference? This is kind of an emergency service that gives your hair a jolt of life and replenishes some of the protein lost from everyday styling. Good deep conditioners have a mayonnaise-like consistency and specifically state they contain protein. A lovely one is the moisturizing treatment from Silk Elements. Also sold at Sally Beauty Supply.

After washing and conditioning, use a leave-in conditioner. Leave-in conditioners add just a touch of moisture and fortify your hair with protein (but not o much to harden your hair). It only takes 2-3 sprays around the head, so a bottle lasts a long time. Mane and Tail has their Hair Strengthener which is just awesome.

Trim the really damaged ends and continue to get a trim every few months. Trust me, your hair will grow faster. When dealing with tangles, use a detangler with a wide tooth comb. The best detangler I have ever come across is the one from the Silk Elements children line, go figure. You can literally finger comb the worst tangles out and it makes your hair really soft.

What to do with unhealthy hair?

Shave it.

What to do with unhealthy hair?

Cut off the destroyed ends. In thr future, use a detangler and a wide tooth comb. Throw out your brush.

What to do with unhealthy hair?

I had the same problem, although mine was because I had dyed it so many times over the years. I fixed it on accident really... Well I started with only brushing it maybe once every couple of days, to get out the hairs that had fallen out or whatever. Secondly, I used this reallllly cheap and reallllly wonderful shampoo/conditioner combo. It totally repaired it, my hair is healthier, softer, shinier, all that stuff they advertise on television. The brand is Sunsilk, it's in a hot pink bottle and I believe the "type" is "Hydra TLC" (they have all kinds, but THIS one definitely repairs it. I definitely recommend it.)

hope this helps!!

What to do with unhealthy hair?

Cut them off, but from now on wash your hair every other day (overwashing dries out the hair) and use a lil hair oil at the ends to protect them. xx

What to do with unhealthy hair?

trim the rough ends and use a soft bristle brush adn no more tangles for kids works great to

What to do with unhealthy hair?

The only way to cure split ends is to cut them off. A good trimming is the best step towards healthier hair.

Fructis long and strong shampoo is a good way to make your hair healthier as far as appearance and shine and to prevent further breakage. Don't use a brush on wet hair, always use a comb and start from the bottom and work your way up-never ever tug through knots. Buy a hair mask product such as pantene pro-v or aussie 3 minute miracle and use at least once a week. Fructis has 3 minute heavy conditioning masks also. Hot oil treatments are good also but can remove certain tints in your highlights.

Bleaching is absolutely the worst thing you can do to your hair. Try using regular hair dye instead of bleaching/frosting it.

What to do with unhealthy hair?

trim it only at the ends, and if u want ure hair straight, don't use a blow dryer. it dries up ure hair, and it makes it get poofy. use sunsilk. the purple-ish one called satin smooth or something like that, it works great! i've been using it for like only 4 days, and i've seen great results. okay, its only like 6.50 for all three formulas. theres a shampoo, conditioner, and this special hair spray, buy them all for just 6.50. its cheap.

What to do with unhealthy hair?

hey there .. well i had the same problem ..when u ge out the shower dont brush it .. wait until its about 60% dry then comb it .. because ur hair is really sensitive while wet .. also wash your hair every other day .. washing your hair every day takes your natural oils out which makes ur hair dry and split ends ..you should cut ur hair at least every three months and just like an inch or two.. also a realy good thing for dry hair is mayonnaise put it on dry hair and make sure its everywhere leave it in for about 20 min and rinse it out and shampoo and condition after :P do that like twice a month .. also you can do the same wiht olive oil :P well hope that helps:P

What to do with unhealthy hair?

dont wash your hair every day. if it is oily 3 times a week, dry once a week, normal twice a week. dont buy cheap shampoo (supermarket) and always get for your hair type. trim your ends and use a mask at least once a week. or do a mask wrap it in aluminum foil and blast with a blowdryer for 5 minutes. conditioner on your ends is considered very important. use a wide toothed comb or a paddle brush.

What to do with unhealthy hair?

Start by cutting off all the damage. If you don't it will just continue to break up and create frizzy, unhealthy hair. Once you've done that maintain your hair by getting it cut every 2 months or so. Also use a hair gloss conditioner once a week. Loreal has one out that I use. You can find it in the hair colour section of a grocery store or pharmacy or wherever.

What to do with unhealthy hair?

i suggest that you use deep conditioners when you have a chance. sit under the dryer so the conditioner can permeate throughout the hair. try not to brush or comb your hair very often. also, get your ends clipped, like 3 inches off to make sure that all the dead is gone. do this everything two-three months. if your hair is really damaged lay off the high lights. go to a good salon if you could afford it and they will show you products that work.

but if you have dry hair a good conditioner is olive oil the day before you wash it. do that three times a week for a month and i could guarentee you my life that it works. o and you know what else makes your hair healthy, prenatal pills or biotin tablets.

What to do with unhealthy hair?

try not washing it so offten if its longer then your nipple then try wasing it a couple times a week only and only brush it when it is dry to prevent breakage and an leavr in conditioner will help to make the ends appear less dry and damaged and make sure you r triming about 3/4-1/2 inch every 6-8 weeks to take of the damaged ends because a split end can progress over time up the shaft of the hair cuticle damaging the over all look of the hair

What to do with unhealthy hair?

you know the best thing for that problem?...when you take a bath and your is like moist take some olive oil with some lemon (it also removes dandruff!) and put it in your hair, starting from the roots and massage it all around in your hair, you can then apply it to your whole hair and then wash it the next day or at night, believe me this works i know gurlz think that putting oil is yucky but if you really want your hair to stay on your head you'll need to do proper oiling, and remember if you're using shampoo plus conditioner then you can use it twice not more then that in one wash, and if you're using shampoo and conditioner seperate then i would recommend you to only apply shampoo as oil already conditions your hair, and yeah a very important tip, dry your hair in sunlight but dont dry full just take some warmth of the sun and let all this do the work, iguarantee you use this technique, and i can suggest you some other hair oils but for that i need to get their english names for you

What to do with unhealthy hair?

trim the ends, stop washing it everyday cause that drys it out use a wide tooth comb and i like to use TRESemm'e dry and damaged hair it work really really good for me anyways.

Doe's anyone have any tips on how to recondition dry damaged hair without spending alot to do i

I bleached my hair and now it feels like straw!! I've spent alot already on conditioners and hair moisterizers. It's still dry and frizzy. It take what seems like forever to brush it when I get out of the shower because it's so dry and tangled. I will try anything to get my soft silky feeling hair again. Any at home remedies or anything would be greatly appreachiated. Thank You.

Just spray it on your wet hair after every shampoo.

It helps a lot.

for starters, apply olive oil to your hair at night, then shampoo out in the morning. just make sure you have a lot of time in the morning because you never know how long itll take to get it out. but it DOES help.

Doe's anyone have any tips on how to recondition dry damaged hair without spending alot to do it?

Doe's anyone have any tips on how to recondition dry damaged hair without spending alot to do it?

olive oil, it makes my hair feel good for a couple days

Doe's anyone have any tips on how to recondition dry damaged hair without spending alot to do it?

any Pantene leave in for 3-5 minutes conditioner. The trick is heat! After applying conditioner put on shower cap any stick head under hot water to get the heat actionb going. Worked for me. Actually, factually, any condition (almost) will do. Its the HEAT!!

Doe's anyone have any tips on how to recondition dry damaged hair without spending alot to do it?

In addition to the deep condition...rinse your hair with cool water. This will close the cuticles on your hair and trap the conditioner inside the hair strand.

Doe's anyone have any tips on how to recondition dry damaged hair without spending alot to do it?

If you put Olive Oil on your and comb it from root to ends then put tin foil around your head (this adds heat) leave it on for half an hour to an hour. Wash it out and add your conditioner. If you do this once a week it should really help your hair. After all bleaching is the worst thing you can do to your hair unless you get it done professionally. This is an old remedy!

Doe's anyone have any tips on how to recondition dry damaged hair without spending alot to do it?

The best thing u can do after major damage is get profesional care. There is one way to do so with out majorly knocking a dent in your cash flow. Usually every town has a nearby cosmetology school. These schools are set up just like real salons where the students provide salon services (under the close supervision of an instructor of course!!) and while ur there you can get a pedicure for a little relaxation after stressing over your fried locks for around 10 bucks! Great service and very inexpensive!.....info is comming from my wife which is a cosmotoligist

Doe's anyone have any tips on how to recondition dry damaged hair without spending alot to do it?

Mix Olive Oil and Mayo together, put it in your hair, put a shower cap on, and sleep. (Hint: This usually works best before you go to bed!) In the morning, wash it out, (GET ALL OF IT OUT) and do your regular shampoo conditoner routine. The funny smell goes away with washing. It helps. Alot.

Doe's anyone have any tips on how to recondition dry damaged hair without spending alot to do it?

get VO5 HAIR MOISTERIZER AND HAIR DETANGELER!!

IF ITS OK FOR PARIS ITS OK FOR ME

AND DO IT TWICE A WEEK

AND EVERDAY USE THE HAIR DETANGLER

SMOOTCHES!

Doe's anyone have any tips on how to recondition dry damaged hair without spending alot to do it?

I am sooo excited about my rubber brush!!?

lol..... I didn't think it was perverted but I did wonder where you was going with it..... lol

I am sooo excited about my rubber brush!!?

This reminds me of something I was thinking of, just the other day...

I once had a sponge that had a kind of sticky surface. It was for pet fur removal. I used it on couches and clothing, etc. I loved it. Then one day my dad (or mom?) spilled some coffee and said "oh I used your sponge to clean up some coffee I spilled." One of the warnings on the packaging of the sponge was to never get it wet. I think I was 11 at the time and I cried because my dad (or mom) ruined my sponge.

I am sooo excited about my rubber brush!!?

I have a rubber curry brush that works great on my boxer. He sheds more than you could ever imagine. He loves when I brush him with this particular brush and I always say that we could make another puppy with all the fur that comes off of him. When we found this brush, it was exciting, too because it really works and keeps him looking his best. My friend, who has a golden retriever, tried it on her and went out immediately and got one, too. (Doesn't take much to make us happy!! LOL!)

I am sooo excited about my rubber brush!!?

Got one and it's brilliant!

I am sooo excited about my rubber brush!!?

I have a Zoom Groom, it's great for removing loose hair and for scrubbing the dog in the bath.

I am sooo excited about my rubber brush!!?

YES!!! Rubber brushes are wonderful, especially for short-haired dogs, like hounds!!!

Professionally styled hair?

I can NEVER get my hair to be like my stylist does. She puts in a styling cream and then blow dries it section by section with a round brush. But... I cannot seem to get this right. [grr]. It's just ugly. Any videos or tips?

Professionally styled hair?

Have you tried buying salon clips to keep your hair in sections? I was always amazed at how great my stylist was at blowing out and straightening my hair, but I could never get it at home. Then I realized it was because I was trying to do my hair all at once and my sections got in the way of each other. I bought salon clips to keep my hair sectioned and they have really made a huge difference!
